I heard that maybe there was gonna be a HD Serenity DVD. But are you saying FireFly too? And you seem to talk about it as if you already *did* see both in HD.

Please, enlighten me?

I really hope they don't go for a TV movie though, that would seem to me like a big step down from Serenity. A new series would be great though.

I agree, but if they used a tv movie or a mini-series to gauge interest in a possible series, well then I like that idea!

We will hold...we hold till Mal gets back...wait do you guys see something out on the horizon?

Hey guys I don't feel as though I have earned my stripes yet, I just barely found Firefly. I will say this though, I have rallied at least five others to the cause. We have all purchased the complete series boxset and serenity. My sole focus right now is in reviving and redeeming Firefly. I feel it was a mistake to do what they did at the end of serenity by killing off part of the crew. However It is still possible to make a phenomenal series. I believe that not enough people had access to Firefly originally. I remember it coming on the SciFi Channel and many areas I lived in did not carry it. I Suggest, assuming it hasnt been done already, Taking petitions towards the revival of the series. I will swear by it above and beyond any other. I mean heck, if "Farscape" got more than one season how did Firefly fail to? (IDIOTIC TV MARKETERS)

Who is CW? Are they a local or cable network?

Next year, UPN and the WB are going away, and in their place, we'll have CW.

If it's a series, I hope they're smart and pair it with the right show (I think Veronica Mars or Smallville would be about right, or even Supernatural).

Seems like there should be some place or some one we could send emails, letters, faxes, dancing girls to. We need to make sure CW knows how huge the fans base is for Firefly!

I'm trying mighty hard not to get my hopes up, but it's so... damn... hard.
If this is true it's fantastic!
I'm actually believing it, against my better judgement. A couple of dreams of mine have suddenly come true recently. Don't reckon another one would be all that unlikely

I gotta agree that I take Joss's word over this lady's anyday. He just said yesterday that his phone is silent. I doubt he'd be trying to mislead us.

For now I'm just putting this down as rumor until someone we know tells us something is in the works.

Honestly and with all due respect, I do not know y'all are so afraid to hope. Look where this series was at the beginning of 2003 (Yeah, I got on the wagon in Oct 2005 but I've read the threads by the old-timers.)

If a couple hundred fans got FF from 11 out of order barely watched episodes to a fabulous DVD boxset to the BDM to the amazing Serenity/Firefly DVD sales of the past few months, then of course all these new fans arriving daily are going to take it on to new places.

Naysay all you want, I hope without fear!

Just my 2 cents, but ...

I feel like this is just a rumor. From what I've heard, Kristen's "rumors" are often just that. Plus, with Joss's silent phone statement just yesterday (notwithstanding the fact that he didn't specificially say anything about a Firefly continuation, just a Serenity sequel), it's mighty unlikely.

That said, I think that any rumor of this type at least keeps Firefly/Serenity on the radar. I won't get my hopes up (or at least, I'll try not to) unless there is a substantiated reason to do so, but I'm encouraged by every rumor or gossip columnist or reviewer who praises the show/discusses its possible return/begs for more. As long as there's chatter out there, I feel like Firefly will return when all the stars align.

MAL: We're still flying.
SIMON: That's not much.
MAL: It's enough.
