Apropos of nothing, I just thought I'd mention that the Ozzarian Browncoats seem to be a real cool bunch o' folks. I've yet to meet one I didn't like, which is odd because I can usually find all KINDS of things not to like in people.

So a right-big Texas "Howdy" to all 'coats down yonderly. From one big place with a desert in the middle to another...

Hey everyone ...

I'm from Melbourne ... I just got my copy of serenity from JB Hifi (got the o-ring bonus) and the person behind the counter said to another staff, something like: this serenity sure is selling. hehehe, so there sure are are plenty of browncoats over here.

Though I hesitate to throw my lot in with the Aussies (on no fault of your own - it's a rugby thing ), I'll jump into this crowd. I too am from "Peter Jackson Land." And though we may be Middle-Earth, we are yet to have a Flanvention of any kind, a Joss Whedon visit, a BDH tour...

Grr. Argh.

Though, there is someone down there driving round with a "FIRFLY" number plate, with "SERENITY" labelled underneath. That someone on here?

I think I turned into a browncoat over the weekend. We only watched Firefly on DVD while Serenity was leaving the theatres. We bought the movie the instant it was released here (last week) and watched it Friday night. I then started watching Firefly over again. NOW I WANT MORE!!!!

Sigh. Why do I find these things after corporate America has killed them?

I'm in Adelaide, which is a bit closer, but not by much...

I've been lurking here for a while and have only recently come out. I'm the only browncoat I know in Adelaide, but like the others here, I know there are others out there...we're just very laid back

My family find my obsession hi-larious and I while I don't advertise the colour of my coat at work, I am doing my best to convert more to our cause. One new person at a time

I am a Browncoat in Adelaide. Oo same as the person above, Shiny.

Either way I know no other Borwncoats in Adelaide although I am working on people at school and my friends.

Otherwise a lot of my family has become inerested in FireFly, yay my RAvings have worked.

Any of you Melbourne Browncoats get to see Joss Whedon in Melbourne before the BDM? If you can believe it - shame if you don't, cause it's true - I was out of the country and about 500km from the nearest internet access at the time, so I didn't even know til now that he had come. Grr. (I did get back in time to see Serenity at the movies, though).

Oh, yeah - I'm from Melbourne.
