Help! I want to watch the Firefly episodes with the commentaries, but I don’t find any option on the DVDs. Am I missing something? I tried both “Serenity” and “Shindig”.

When you can't walk, you crawl, and when you can't do that, you find someone to carry you...

It's under the audio settings. Not all episodes have them but both Serenity and Shindig do.

I don't show an "Audio" option on the front menu and the "Language and Audio" menu doesn't show it either. Is it possible there are two versions of the Firefly DVDs?

Here is what I'm looking at under language selection on the episode Serenity:

Language and audio:
-English Dolby Surround
-French Dolby Surround
-Spansh Dolby Surround

-Commentary by executive
--produce Joss Whedon
--and Actor Nathan Fillion

Subtitles
-English
-Spanish
-off

Main Menu Play Episode

-

If you are not seeing that then there must be more than one version of the DVDs, even though I have never heard of such a thing.

Or you have too much time on your hands and played with those pictures in Photoshop.

Although, if you really do have Chinese subtitles I would really (really) appreciate you ripping them to .sup (or any other subtitle format) files and sending them my way. That way the missus can enjoy the show a little easier.

Oh wow. The characters are in simplified script, but it's better than translating from the English, and I bet I could convert them to traditional with some work...

Where did you get these discs from? The text for the subtitle choice is not the same as the rest of the text.
And would you be willing to help me extract these subtitles? My email address is my username above, at yahoo.com In return I'd help you get the commentary track.
