No Shit? (sorry, montana talk) I'm from Butte originally. I'm teaching in Harlem and living in Chinook. Where's your ranch, hell, I've probably fished or hunted on it.

Kevar,
Maybe it's not such a big 'verse, after all. Our ranch is southwest of Butte, not too far from Divide. Since this area gets hunted pretty heavily, you probably were out here.
Maybe we have a potential Serenity Underground amongst folks in Butte or who are from Butte. Butte-ites aren't your general run-of-the-mill types. Serenity ought to be right up their alley.
Keep the signal goin' up there on the High Line.

Kaele, if you want the real thing - jewelry, that is - the Trpcics are selling off most of the jewelry that was used in the series. Lots of the auctions are ending within 24 hours of this posting. Seller userID is joetrpcic. Good luck! I bid on one gorgeous piece and was promptly outbid.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and get the Trade Paperback of "Those Left Behind". It takes place between Objects in Space and Serenity, and answers a lot fo questions, like what the hell hapenned to the Hands of Blue. Normally spin-off comics are terrible, but since Whedon (a comic veteran) had full control on making it, and wrote a good portion of it, it turned out absolutely amazing.

I don't normally toot my own horn like this, but if you're looking for canon fanfic, that happens to be what I do. I wrote "Heartbroken" in nine parts, and I've been told someone was trying to hunt it up among the DVDs because she thought it was one of the episodes

I'm looking into getting the Trade Paperback and the movie novel.

Anyone know where I can read the screenplays of the shows?

Well, this still has transcripts of the episodes listed.

I've got the comic coming to me by way of FedEx my own self. The paperback of the novel is pretty good, and there's also "Serenity: The Role Playing Game" which is a bit pricey, but has bios written about all the crew in Mal voce. It's a fun read.

My wife's family has been camping near the pintlar waterfall for about six generations. And I agree with you on Butte folks, heck, Butte could be it's own planet. I have to be the responsible teacher so I can't be there for St. Paddys. First time I've not been there. Don't know if I can function without my shot & beer at the M&M at 10:30 am.

While not cannon, you might also be interested in the podcasts "Firefly Talk" and "The Signal". Both of these have some insiteful articles about different characters, history, and current goings on in the 'verse. Good Luck and welcome to the realm of the painfully addicted, we're all right there with you.
