Oh, no, no, no! Wires is not my work. Sorry, I didn't mean to give that impression I recced it because it's done by a new acquaintance of mine. Her work is fantastic and it's one of my all-time favourite vids. You should check out all her work, she's streets ahead of me. I don't have any other Firefly vids completed, just Angel and BTVS and one Stargate, and they can be found at http://www.littleheaven70.com.

Well, you made my day, regardless. You, and the company you keep, are in a class apart. Whereas I, on Day 1 of my River Tam obsession -- up and running now for a good ten days -- briefly toyed with the idea of doing a River Tam compilation myself one day, I am now, more than ever, convinced that I must never, ever, undertake such an ill-begotten endeavour, lest I run into one of them aforementioned ways to embarrass myself further. There is extraordinary talent here; and I don't have it; period. You, however, do; and I will continue to revel in your work.

What is it about our endearing young psychic that brings large, semi-muscular men down to their knees, weeping like helpless infants? That story would take too much of your space to tell. I'm just glad I'm one of them. :)

LOL! Hey, if you want to start vidding, you should! It took me a couple of years to get to where I am now. And I still find I'm not nearly as good as I want to be. You've just gotta keep at it. And having a pretty grunty computer doesn't hurt

I'm glad you enjoyed the vids! I'm hoping to have another completed... oh, some time before the middle of the year

Nah, I'm done vidding. :) I'm done making River wallpapers, too. There's just too much talent in here, ya know? Eh, yes, of course, you would know. :)

I'm just gonna lean back and watch the show. Like reading Jane Austen. You can feel sad for not being as gifted as her; or you can just enjoy the read. I tend to do the former, but I should probably do the latter. :)

If you ever do make a new fanvid though, starring my darling River, be sure to let me know, though; and I will come over, and give you a virtual hug that you will assuredly feel for days!

It was really nice to meet you, though. Talent is such a precious commodity; and you possess it in such abundance.

1. I'm a huge Bjork fan.
2. Play Dead is one of my favorite songs ever (not just by Bjork).
3. I'm very picky with fan videos.
4. And River is my favorite female charachter.

And saying that... I must say this video was most excellent. Play Dead is a very powerful and emotional song that could be easily misused in fanvids for charachters or stories/movies/tvshows etc that do not match the songs resenece. But for River, it fits perfectly for her charachter, her emotions, and what she's been through. She's complicated and I think no other songs I can think of does better for her.

And thank you for not putting long clips in of her where she has some sort of dialogue. I don't like seeing a music video/fan video that shows a long cut of a scene in which a charachter has dialogue but the music is playing over it (so you don't hear what they're saying) and so you get these shots... of their lips moving. Its like listening to the radio while watching your TV on mute - annoying.

So I very much liked how you focused on small moments, her emotions, her movement, to perfectly express her charachter. I would of liked to see some of her moments in Serenity sprinkled in there but still you did great with what footage there was of her from the series without resorting to the usual cuts to her dialogue scenes. You utilized the music, the images, and the editing to create a great portrait of River. Nicely done.

Thank you Squid! I also dislike "talky heads" in music vids. It makes it obvious that the footage was not intended for the music vid, and I want it to look like the clips were made for the vid.

I did not have Serenity at the time I made this vid, but I have since bought it, so my next vid will have both show and movie clips in it (though it's not going to be a River vid).
