HOW ARE THERE STILL PEOPLE SAYING "YEAH I THINK THIS IS A FAKE?" YOU THINK? PROBABLY? PRETTY SURE?

You really should know that there is no reason to be rude or yell. People are having a nice discussion in here. We don't need people yelling and being rude to others.

Jayne: Are you saying River's a witch?
Wash: Yes, Jayne, she's a witch. She's had congress with the Beast.
Jayne: She's in Congress?
Wash: How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious!

Hmm, I think this thread is rapidly moving towards a point where there are more people saying: "How could you folks all believe this?" than there were people who initially believed it.

Somethin' about that is just downright unsettlin'.

I apologize if I seemed too rude. I meant the caps more as disbelieving emphasis rather than yelling, belligerent or otherwise. I suppose I sometimes get annoyed when it seems people post without reading even a few of the other replies, and I've been fighting off this damn Katrina cough for months. If I offended anyone, let me know and I will send you an electronic hug, or something else lame like that.

Don't worry about it too much StillFree - I was thinking the same thing when I got to your post.

Oh, and to whoever said it earlier: Hayden Christensen can act. He was pretty amazing in Shattered Glass.

I honestly don't think that was George Lucas. I never read any of his interviews, but I doubt his PR department would let him respond to his fans they was he had in several of the statements.

"irst of all, I'd like to say this; I have read some of the comments and a few of them you basically call the person an idiot. Wouldn't it be smarter and time saving to just read the ones that are worth reading instead of ones that make you pity the idiot that has a small brain. And now to my actual question. Did you actually take the time to think about the way a light saber would work? A few of us spent half a year pondering this and taking different pieces of the light saber and such at a time and trying to put some logic into it, we got a few theories if you would like to read one, like to read on enough to actually take the time out of your busy day, then my email is ****@hotmail.com.

George Lucas: I have to respond to some of the hardcore losers who write in to me so that they know exactly how I feel about them. Some of these people are deluded enough to think their opinion actually matters. They post on message boards that are read by two or three people. This makes them think they are talking to the entire fan base, which is totally ridiculous. SuperShadow.com is the only place on the Net where you can make contact with hundreds of thousands of true fans. I bash these mentally challenged people to show them who’s boss. Their opinions will never matter just as their lives have no purpose. It makes me laugh really hard that somebody wastes so much time spouting off hatred about Star Wars.

You need to remember that I had about three years to come up with the light-saber idea while writing Star Wars from 1973 to 1975. I basically thought they were like regular swords except instead of having metal blades the blades would be of some kind of energy. I can’t tell you exactly how the light saber works because I’m not an engineer or physicist. I’m sure there are extraterrestrials that have working light sabers. There may be real light-saber battles happening all over the Universe."

EDIT: also, here he shows a fundamental misunderstanding of his own show. another thing pointing to it not being him.

"Anakin succumbed to the dark side for several reasons. First, Anakin was frustrated with the Jedi’s inability to accept his superiority over all other Jedi. Second, Obi-Wan circumvented Anakin’s progress towards greatness. Third, Anakin wanted a kind of unlimited power that the light side could not offer. These three factors allowed Sidious to trick Anakin into joining the dark side. If the Jedi had acknowledged Anakin as the best Jedi ever, had gotten Obi-Wan off Anakin’s back and allowed Anakin to do whatever he pleased, then the fall of the Jedi and Old Republic at the hands of the Sith probably wouldn’t have occurred.

Obi-Wan was on the defensive at Mustafar because he didn’t really believe he needed to kill Anakin. Obi-Wan loved Anakin like a brother. Obi-Wan was essentially the only father Anakin ever knew. Obi-Wan held on to the belief that Anakin could be turned back to the good. The only reason Obi-Wan defeated Anakin was because Anakin gave Obi-Wan no other choice. "

Dear Mr. Lucas, I love all your movies. I was wondering if you have ever seen the movie Serenity written and directed by Joss Whedon? Many critics compare it to the Star Wars Prequels and how much better it is. "It is the best sci-fi movie I've seen since The Empire Strikes Back." I was wondering how you felt about the movie, did you like it?

George Lucas: The best way to judge how could science fiction films are is to examine their box-office earnings. Serenity took in a weak $ 25 million dollars in North America. Revenge of the Sith crushed this figure with earnings toppling over $ 380 million dollars. Hence, Star Wars is fifteen times more popular that the hack work produced by Whedon.

All of Whedon’s TV shows can be found in the bargain basement bin for DVD’s. Buffy - The Vampire Slayer, Firefly and Angel can be bought for $ 10 bucks for the entire season run. Anti-popular is the way I describe it. All and all, Serenity is just another piece of crap in the wall. That will surely drive you insane.

umm... asshole.

from what i can tell, most of the stuff on the site is really just fan site stuff, i doubt George Lucas ever even talked ot the people on the site.
