Aww CaptainBryan, I'm so glad you did this. This is a geat idea. With that said my name choices are;

"Shindig"
"Miss-Behaven"
"Vera"
"TwoFry"
"Firefly"
"Mai Mai"
"Mrs. Reynolds"
"Persephone"
"Kaywinnet"
"BDH"
"Jaynestown"
"Wacky Fun"

Well there is a few. I think I could go on and on

They're some good names, here. I can really see "The Jaynestown" happening. :)

Now here's a bit of trivia for ya. :) Are you sure you mean "Mai Mai", and not "Mei-Mei" (= little sister)? Because the Mai Mai are quite a savage, murdering, rapin' Congo militia. It would probably be a good name on a Reaver ship, though, lol. But it's doesn't quite fit our darlin' "mei-mei" River, now does it? :) ... Or does it? Because "mai mai" translates to "powerful water" in Swahili. So it may refer to "River" after all. :)

Sense of humour coming through:

The 100ft Freighter.
The Boat.
The We-Can't-Call-It-The-Enterprise.
The Coming Through.
The Navigational Hazard.
The BWAH!

(I wasn't really joking with that last one, though it would get some wierd looks.)

"The Pnuematic Princess"

When someone asked Nathan Fillion what he'd name his ship if he had one, that was his answer...

Ok I found a bunch of names- none are Firefly/Serenity related, but I still think they're good, because I believe a name is only important because of it's have meaning and these do:

Tully- Calmness
Yi Zi- Happy, shiny as a pearl
Sadah- Good Fortune
Lida- Beloved by all
Oki- Ocean-centered
Drea- Courageous
Evania- Tranquil
Ahava- cherished one

Ok, or all else failing what about Jaynestown? I don't know if anyone else suggested it, I haven't read all of the ideas
