Mine is pretty silly. I love science, astronomy mostly and I think novas are really awesome. It's my yahoo name. I wanted just "NovaStar", but somebody beat me to it; so I stuck 'cloud' at the end.

Serenyty seems obvious, but actually... it's not.

When I chose this, I was... 12. It became my internet alias. I was having a Sailor Moon phase, and Serenity is the name of Usagi (main character) in the past. I thought it was cool, but I liked "y"s. *shrug*.

It all worked out, then.

I am a consumate softball player. Live and breath it sadly.

It actually stuck from one game. We were playing a team obviously better than my team. I hit the usual screwball, it was a close play at second base. I had to slide. The result of the slide was I was safe at second, but I broke my wrist. I wrapped it and played the rest of the game. We won.

Not very Firefly-ish, I know.

I'm sure you're all thinking that I have a smutty mind and belong in Book's Special Hell, but the nickname -- which is my sole on-line nickname, if you ever bump into me elsewhere -- comes from being terrible at bowling back in high school.

I bowled six straight gutterballs in the same game in which I bowled three straight strikes. The guys dubbed me GutterBall, and it has hung like the fated albatross around my neck ever since. It followed me to college and hence into the professional world.

Gorrammit.

Well, I live in Alska, and it's been very very cold here, and when I joined the board it was about 35 below zero so....ANd I needed a name right then. If I could change it I would. I think I like "Reaversbane" a whole lot better. :) Maybe I'll use THAT one on the OTHER Browncoat board.

So many Reavers...so little time. Heh heh.

If you make my favorite show disappear forever, you *will* go to a very special level of hell, one reserved for child molesters, people who talk at the theater, and Fox executives.

Well mine is a purely gamer inspired name

Dragon Master is a title that the main character attained in Lunar: Silver Star Story

and Zero is from the Maverick Hunter Zero from the MegaMan X series.

Well - on every forum I've ever been on I've been my favourite character's little angel. Charmed: Leoslittleangel;
CSI: Horatioslittleangel;
Harry Potter: Siriuslittleangel...

So for Firefly, I'm Serenity's - because she's my favourite.

I can't really remember why it began.

This is the name my daddy gave me. Anyone planning on pointing out the perverse double meaning to my last name, don't, it's been done at least 100 times and only ONCE was the joke even slightly amusing.

"Deep in the battlefield covered in blood
Lies an Airborne Ranger dying in the mud
He fought for his country and he died like a man
Though some people back home just wouldn't understand"

I can't believe this thread is still going!

It's great to see though, some really interesting stories.

More insane ramblings by the people who brought you beeeer milkshakes!
The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.
