Did anyone else hear about this? An indepentant groups wants to buy The rights to Firefly? Just curious.

kinda wierd around here, EVERYONE wants the show to return but when someone tries to actually do something other that buy the dvds etc ppl do an about face. I dont see what the big deal is. Let him do his thing and see if it gets done. I agree that he could of been more discrete about it but he is trying to draw support and mostly only gets
rejection from the very ppl he should get the most support from.. That being said, I have not been around the board long and do not know of the "attempts" at trying to relite firefly so you must take my post with a grain of salt..

I have to agree. I can't see any harm in Ace perusing this or in his inquiries about demographics. Everyone wants the show back more than anything else, yet I hear so much complaining about him. Everyone’s saying “If I had a few mill, I’d start up the show, yada yada yada”. Everyone’s daydream may have materialized, yet you all are shooting spitballs at it. What’s the deal? Is he legit? I have no idea. But I’m not going to look a *potential* gift horse in the mouth. I’m just going to cross my fingers, hope for the best & prepare for the worst. That’s all any of us can do at this point.

This publicity stunt may just get Firefly/Serenity back in video form sooner rather than later. Plus it will generate interest from other people and in the least given all of us Browncoats some spark of hope out of all the negativety since the movie's release.
