$300? I'd get it! The idea of Serenity all shiny and glowing on my bookcase has been a desire of mine for close to 2 years!

'Might have been on the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Well, if they are going to make a $200 to $300 model forget any economizing on the price and make it shiny good. We'll buy it. (some of us anyway)

$200-$300 bucks for a resin model that size, with so many parts, that even lights up -- pricey as it may sound, is actually a bit of a steal.

I've done a few resin figure models that were only around 9' tall, and only 3-4 parts, and they ran close to $100.

O_o uhh $200 tell me that that's not the price. For the love of cheese I hope it's not.

I mean, I'm being received something I really want (again-action figs, comics, novel)!

I agree. About ten years ago I saw a quarter-scale balsa model of a Dalotel aerobatic R/C aircraft selling for about $250, and you had to have immense skill to put it together. So this prospective price of $200-300 isn't exactly bad, I think, if all the lights and extras come with it. Presumably the legs come down, the nacelles rotate, and the rear opens/closes.

I have a "Precision" 1/16th scale model of my John Deere 720 diesel tractor by Ertl, and its list price was about $150. The front wheels turn with the steering wheel, stuff like that, which we'd expect to see on the Serenity model. So yes, it could well be a "steal."

I wonder if it'll have the Reaver camouflage as optional equipment.

Good deal or no, try telling my wife that i'd rather buy a plastic model than make a car payment or pick up a months worth of groceries... That'll fly *almost* as well as Serenity did after the EMP hit it...
... in case you somehow forgot, she was dropping like a rock...
