A giant thank you note/we need more letter to Joss is a great idea, but for it to work it needs to be really well organize, almost like a petition, 1 writer thousand of signatures and then find a way to e-mail it to him.... has anyone considered how awesome a really good, animated series/movie woul be?.. same cast with joss whedon and either genndy tartakovsky(SW: Clone wars, samurai jack) or bruce timm(Batman TAS, Justice league) would be?!?!... i mean i'd certainly rather have a sci-fi cahnnael mni, or a direct to dvd or theatrical movie, or you know the holy grail SERENITY:THE SERIES.. but animated could be fun.

I'm a leaf on the wind

I'm working on the organization part. You know, life and stuff getting in the way!
I think we have all of the e-mail and snail addresses we need throughout this thread and some others. We just need to get all of the info in one localized place, and that is what I'm working on.
Until then, we need to spread the spirit, I feel it's a little low!

Hey people, One good thing today is that SciFi is giving Firefly some press coverage. So we must be creating some sort of buzz.

And on the Joss letters thing. Wr. Wheadon is very busy with Wonder Woman and all the comics he is putting out. He is currently working on a Buffy miniseries, an Angle miniseries, a Spike miniseries, a Past-Slayers mini series, a Future slayer (mini)series, and Astonishing X-Men Monthlys. Honestly, I think he is taking a break from the Verse for a little while. What we need to do is keep up the Buzz so that the market is ready when he feels that he can put his all in another Firefly related product. Be that Movies, TV, or Something entirely different.

That being said I am 100% with a moral support mail campaign from Browncoats across the world. I think that it might be a boost to his spirit to see how many diffrent Browncoats from around the world still love his creation. And I love the custom Firefly/Serenity postcard idea. But I am unwilling to put my 2 through the USPS so we are going to need a replenishable supply.

Ok Browncoat- Spearding the signal in the vast empty nothingness

Wash: Were I unwed, I would take you in a manly fashion.
Kaylee: 'Cause I'm pretty?

I agree with getting Firefly back on the air, with Joss having TOTAL creative control, and no interference from the ases that be...oops I meant powers-that-be.

Just my 2cents on this. If memory serves, Sci-Fi is owned by USA Networks (again, if memory serves...and it doesn't always). So going after Sci-Fi may be beatin' your head against a really big wall - we need to find out what the PARENT network is and go to THEM!

Anyone else out there know anything about this?

(dont shoot the messenger, i did look at about 5 different websites to make sure this is correct, but they may have been the wrong 5)

Sci Fi, USA and Universal Pictures (also Bravo) are owned by NBC

and my boyfriend and i were just talking about that :P

And NBC is owned by GE.

Let's not get too far afield. Concentrate on Sci-Fi, they make the decisions at their level. Though, from my perspective, I'd love to see the thing on HBO, as it will then most likely make the jump to TMN up here in Canada and from their to TV, just like the Sporanos did and a TMN-produced show, ReGenesis, and with almost all of the naughty bits included, too :)

If you can survive death, you can probably survive almost anything.

Well... lets take this thing into high gear people.

Few questions, as I am new here:
How many Browncoats are there?
And is there an e-mail address or snail maild address I could use to mail Joss Whedon?

It would also help to spell Whedon's name right (not Wheadon)...
