Okay, so I just finished the last season of Angel.

OMFG. I could not believe the portrayal of the blond lady senator who was hoping for a 2008 presidential run etc. etc. who looked very much like, well, my senator. Ms. Clinton's disguise was, well, non-existant. I guess only a cancelled show can be that strong.

Ring of black thorn was clearly team evil, (the amalgamation of skull and bones, the trotsky set, and the other power groups.) I can't peg anyone else in the group as succinctly as the obvious Hillary. The red raquetball demon guy reminded me of Kerry somewhat, but I don't know if the parallel goes that far. The really old red guy was clearly most powerful, I don't know who that would represent.

I still can't believe it. That even Joss has the balls to be that blatant as to have obviously Hillary drinking only the blood of virgins, conspiring to bring about the apocalypse.

Well the guy with horns was actually a visual gag from earlier in the series (something like Angel telling the gang that he wasn't making deals with the devil and then horn guy looks in and asks about raqueteball.) Anyway they liked the guy and the makeup job so they used him in the final episode -- so no it was not supposed to be Michael Moore.

As to the Senator -- lots of names have been suggested as well as Hillary's, Diane Feinstein being the favorite because the character is maintaining an election office in LA and therefore must be a California Senator.

I considered that it was DiFi, except that there were two very Hillary things about her:

1. She looked like Hillary
2. She said 'presidential run un 2008.'

But DiFi, a co-member of TE, one of the four horsemen of the democratic party, is also possible. It's possible that she was Di-Cli.

Except that that series of Angel screened in 2004 and Hillary hadn't anounced for 2008 (in fact still hasn't AFAIK.) YOU think she'll do it because of TE, I think she'll do it out of ego.

It was already well circulated in discussion. When Clinton bowed out of '04 she made some statements that were widely interpretted as "I'm running in '08" ... if Kerry loses, and those were interpreted as a foreshadowing of Kerry's defeat which supports the Hillary-made loss theory. All of this had already transpired a while before that show, I think this was '03.
