Thanks ZOEHASZEN for the info! I also feel this site is much more uplifting and supportive of the cause.
I also agree that personal plees are better, but a form letter allows those who don't have the time to help out quickly and conveniently, and we want all of the fans to participate.
Let us know what you come up with.

All right folks, I've been poking around out there, and there are alot of Firefly sites, but none of them are mounting any kind of counter attack.
I'm with DHEROOFCANTON, we need to get the administrator on board. We need a centralized location as our base. I wish I new more about the web, I would link up to this site and have a separate counter attack location for the letters and addresses to be accessed. But I'm kina like Jayne when it comes to da innernet!

you said form -- it sounds cheesey but maybe
we can get it on brown paper

or have it in the form of a "coat"

or seomething that at a glance - they any anyone
who see's it know what its about and who its from.

(THe best thing to do is on a post card -its open
people see it and - are there postcards
made of firefly??? or can those be done?

Si Fi channel is airing Firefly so they have
"bought" enough rights already

that's how Joss could do Serenity with the same
people and stuff

just not the song and the firely name

there has to be a Different Title of the series,
a new song but same characters etc.

Joss is the creator - he can use those characters

*the propblem is Does Joss Want this to continue?

He is the one to start it.

I am all for "softening up" the networks by
a letter campain but we are dead in the water
if Joss doesn't have the heart to re-do this

I think he was dissappointed about the movie
not being a runaway hit -- but is more confident
now that the serenity DVD's are doing so well.

How can a "We love Firefly/Serenity please bring it back!! - letter writing campain go wrong??

Hey, which City does Joss live in?

Maybe we should post full-paage newspaper ads
and/or billboards on the major higways into
"hollywood"??

a "new series" anywhere
with a different title and song

or has there been new laws that state he
can't? my info a bit old

or when si fi aired it - did fox give up those "rights"

I don't know - it sounds like it could be a rip off - not sure but truly I've never done
pay per view -

kids like the guy/gal who keeps asking howmuch money are you willing to give to firefly

(I truly believe that there is enough interest
in serenity to get a series out of Si Fi without too much of a problem but it won't be handed to Joss - he and his team will have to "work" for it --and again it all boils down to --Does Joss want to do this!!! )

It's woman, and thanks. My thoughts are that Fox owns the first season of Firefly and the Firefly name. I believe that Sci-Fi could start a Serenity series if they wanted to.
I love the postcard idea. Cafepress.com can help with that, you can make your own. I don't know what the cost would be. Might be cheaper to get 5-10 different ones made up, and have a local printer copy them for us in bulk to get a better discount.
I'm at work right now, but in a few hours I'll be home and I'll start searching!
I agree, it's Joss's call. He needs us now more than ever. I was going to send him something like this:

I am a thirty-something fan, I work full time, and I am working on a Bachelor’s Degree part time. When I get a chance to relax, and watch some TV, it’s nice to be able to watch a quality program, which of course, there aren’t anymore, unless you are lucky enough to catch a rerun of one of your shows.

I have been reading articles about Firefly, my favorite of all your work. I have been reading about how tired you are, and how hard it was to make and to sell. I have also read that you may have given up on ever returning it to the small screen. I can certainly understand your fatigue, as genius can be exhausting. (And that’s sincere, not kissing ass). But I implore you, please don’t give up hope. Browncoats everywhere are uniting, and assimilating new members. Our numbers are growing. Firefly is by far the best entertainment creation of all time, with the absolute perfect cast. It’s very unfortunate that the people with the power to re-light it, are so short on vision.

Your fans aren’t giving up, and although we will support you in any endevour, we hope that you will keep the fight for Firefly alive, despite your frustration and fatigue. We are behind you, no matter what.
