I am wondering how long it will be. There isn't much material to work with.

The Serenity Visual Companion book they produced had a lot of great stuff, but with 14 episodes to draw from a Firefly book would have a lot more potential material. Among other things I hope they include large scale plans (not just sketches) of Serenity's interior and exterior. I sent an email to the Titan Books email address referenced in the article above and suggested that. I suggest that anyone who wants to see features email them as well.

Wouldn't it be better if Fox makes lots and lots of dough from this? They own the rights and the only way we'll see more is if someone notices that money is being made and recognizes the potential for more. They might start to see that they've got the makings of a franchise.

I am on record, twice now, as predicting Serenity #2 to be greenlighted by 1 July 2006. There's just too much interest.

Y'see, big movie after big hyped movie are not doing any better than Serenity, despite lots of fanfare and b/s. That has to be noticed.

That's the thing that's got me excited. A Fox VP actually gave a positive comment about their hopes for the book, instead of just releasing something like this without a statement. Because of that, it seems sure now that Fox is noticing the attention the series is getting and how robust the sales of "Firefly" and "Serenity" DVDs are. The sales of this book might actually be what pushes them over the edge and decide and try the show out again.

I'm hoping, anyway. I'll be buying it
