I think it should be pointed out that you are not required to submit your name or e-mail address, so you can just fill out the rest of the demographic information without revealing any personal info...

Thank you very much for those links.
Personally, I am very uncomfortable with this. I will believe that there are negotiations for a second season of Firefly when I hear it from Joss Whedon, not from someone I've never heard of before and who has no prior ties to the Jossverse.
I urge all of you to read the links provided above.

I read the threads in theonetruebix's post, and can see why this idea makes some people nervous. I might be naive, but I do not think there is any personal danger involved in signing up (they do not ask for credit card numbers, and I for one gave them one of my 3 web-based email addresses just in case there is spam). It is a little worrisome that Ace Underhill wants to buy the rights to the show without procuring Joss' support first, so I understand the concern that some people have there. He says that he would never try to produce the show without Joss. Does anyone know if it would really be possible for him to do that? Yikes.

Exactly, and really, any one that concerned about their email address can just go to yahoo or hotmail or a myriad of other places and create a new email address.
It's a longshot. But where would we be without people who ignored the odds.
