If you really want to see this movie return, petitions and such (which I signed), won't do it.
Spend $55 and buy the Complete Series DVD & Serenity movie DVD on amazon.com or wherever. That is what, is going to bring this show back... a turn out of nice profit.
I already own the complete series I recorded off the TV and burned to DVD's, but I bought the DVD set anyway, that's where true support will be shown to the decision makers.
So you have to ask yourself, if it is our only chance, (which it is), do you love this show enough to spend a measely $55 for a chance to bring it back?

Done. I ordered mine just the other day; both the series and the movie.

I'm pretty sure most of us already own at least one copy of the series on dvd and at least one copy of the movie. In my case, and many others I know of, more than one of each.
***Never judge a book by its movie***

I'm brand new to "the 'verse." I saw Serenity just after Christmas and my girlfriend went out and bought Firefly the very next day. We had a little 2 day marathon and then I lent them to my dad to watch, which he has yet to do.
I've been jonesing so much to watch them again that I ordered another 3 sets for Firefly and 3 copies of Serenity so that I can have a set to watch while I lend the others out whenever I find a prospective convert.
I found out that 2 of the 3 I've been courting have copies available to them, but have not watched them.
Guess I'll have to find more people to lend to.

I bought the FF DVD set when it first came out and last year when I began to show it to my students and loaning the discs to people at the school where I work, I bought a second set so I'd have one to keep and one to loan.
I sent FF DVDs to all of my brothers and sisters as well as my nieces.
I have two copies of the BDM (one to keep, one to loan).
When the BDM was still in theaters, I saw it twelve times and got my wife (who never sees movies more than once) to see it three times.
I definitely would like to see either more series or more movies.
Sir Warrick: You didn't have to wound that man.
Mal: Yeah, I know. It was just funny.

I'm fairly new to the Firefly fandom. I bought my Firefly DVD box set nearly a week ago now and I can assure you that when Serenity becomes available over here on DVD I'll be getting it asap.

My mom is 70 years old and her birthday is the 30th of Jan. She is getting a Firefly DVD, hell she likes westerns and Science Fiction.

Yeah if any show can be called a "wagon train to the stars" as Gene Roddenberry called Star Trek, it's Firefly

I bought the BDM as soon as it came out here, since my small town theatre never showed it. I also boought the boxed set last week to replace my low quality pirated one. I am considering buying a second BDM to loan out but i gotta get a new job first. (Unemployed for 2 weeks now
but my DVD player is far happier then my bank account)
:EDIT: Also people, buy the soundtrack and comic books and the movie novel and any other official merch you can find. It all counts!

People, learn from your English brethren. Firelfy was never shown on TV over here, so those of us who have watched the show have had to buy the series ourselves. Frankly, that's a small price to pay for such an amazing series. The only way to get another series or film made is to support the show with your hard earned cash. We're talking about the cold hard realities of profit versus loss, so spend spend spend.
