Alright, so obviously I've already got both the DVD's, but I've got a good-sized sum of change coming back to me this tax season, and I'm looking to treat myself.
What I'm working on now is a bit of a shopping list. Might not get it all at once, but Im trying to get together a definitive Firefly fanboy's survival kit, if you will.
So the obvious stuff is the DVD's, soundtracks, the books (all the comics, the visual companion, and Finding Serenity, and the novelization,) couple sets of trading cards, t-shirt, a poster or two, and I know I've seen a Blue Sun coffee mug floating around somewhere.
Not a huge fan of action figures, but for completion, that has to be in there, (though Mal looks a little wierd...)
There's a Serenity resin model I've heard?
Am I missing anything else as far as official merchandise? Figure the least I can do for my part is show the bigwigs that there's a market for the franchise.
What I could also use some feedback on is something a little more special. Say I have the essential geek kit put together. I'll still need something somewhat unique that I can showcase and elevate me to the status of true fanboydom. I'm working on my own ideas, but I would also welcome any feedback. I'm looking for a moderately large purchase, and for entertainment purposes I'll say that money is no object (even though truthfully it is.)
Also, just purely out of curiosity, what WOULD be the single most expensive Firefly-related merchandise you could buy? (Aside from an entire second season of course.)

Well, "the" browncoat (Mals coat worn in the TV series) recently went for 12.5k on E-Bay...

I would buy one of the costumes from the costume auction.
Go to Cafepress.com and do a search for Firefly and Serenity. Stock up:)

Though be it a small item, you might want to get yourself a TG Freight laundry bag to carry all that gear around in.

Yeah, I may have to get my hands on that freight bag :) That's just odd enough to be a good conversation starter probably.
As far as the original brown coat... man, that'd be a good buy. For that price, I'd have to keep it cryogenically frozen and stuff, but I never looked too shiny in a trenchcoat anyway :)
