... of seeing that bloody Underworld Evolution trailer! I don't even watch a lot of TV, but when I do, that trailer is in pretty much every single ad break! Makes me think about not even watching those few shows that I do watch, just to avoid seeing that awful trailer to what will probably be a pathetic-yet-successful movie.

Who are they marketing it to anyway? Probably the horny-teenage-male-who-thinks-all-English-chicks-sound-like-that-and-vampires-are-cool demographic. Now I'm starting to think that the shows I watch (Family Guy, Futurama, Daily Show) are maybe also geared to that demographic - I hope not, because I actually think those shows are quite clever at times (in their own respective ways), and I don't want to find stuff made for adolescents clever.

Had they spent 1/100th of the advertising budget that Underworld Evolution has on the marketing of Serenity (and done it properly), we would've already broken even by now.

Totally agree. The first was OK at best. The sequal will probably suck. Unfortunately, my dad thinks its fantastic so family movie day will probably go see that instead of "New World" which I heard was very good.

I am embarassed to admitt that I really liked the first one and I'm looking forward to the second one. I actually enjoy the trailers. Vampires, werewolves, and NIN playing in the background. However, it does bring to my attention just how few Serenity trailers there were. Sigh.

I know! I didn't even see one single trailer for Serenity, but thousands of these trailers for Underworld are everywhere and Serenity is probably going to be the better movie.

I think I'm still going to see it anyways for my pop. He likes these type of movies.

I watched the movie today more out of respect for the first one than any expectation it would be good.

It was good, let me repeat, good. Not great, not excellent, but neither was it bad nor mediocre. Hell of a lot better than I thought it would be based on the trailers.

I agree that they're over saturating the ads. Also in what I think is an odd move the local theater is cutting it close, the ending credits of one showing start ten minutes before the next showing starts. I'm told that you only do that when you think the movie will crash and burn fast.
