I think the only public trans close to base is taking a taxi.... and taking a taxi somewhere thats 1/2 hour away would be ludicris, just to see a movie, no matter how good it looks

That's crazy. You'd think they'd at least have bus or shuttle transportation available for the military guys. Shame.

Well, then I guess the only recourse left is to befriend someone with a nice car and then chip in for gas. I mean, petrol.

Last night I kept someone up all night...talking of course.

this morning was a store meeting. Since i didn't need to dress for work (my shift is this evening) I wore flannel pjs and my Jayne hat. This is what I heard:

"Aren't you cute."
"Dressed just for us, huh."
"That is the ugliest hat..."
"Alene, that hat is not pretty."
"Cool hat. It suits you."

Well, you get the idea. Anyway, it allowed me to do a brief explanation of the hat. Unfortunately, they're not into the show, but they liked the story of the hat, so who knows what the future holds.

TWG, sounds like an exciting day of work!

CMS- yes it does suck. I heard of a shuttle that goes to the train station so you can get to london, but that only runs twice a day, so if you miss it, your stuck.

and i have to work tomorrow morning at 6... and i made the mistake of sleeping until 3pm today... not fun. Oooo and I saw that movie with Uma Thurman, were shes dating some 23 y.o son of her pyhscatrist... it was a good date movie...

*runs off to do things cause the library won't let him stay on the computer*

Pondering ordering Battlestar Galactica DVDs. Still not convinced they'll be worth the cash.
