Hello there,

I'm fairly new to this Cafepress lark but bought some of 10thcrew's merchandise this Christmas - very impressive stuff!

I'm from the UK so had a design made up for a mug this Christmas for a friend, using a UK company - unfortunately they don't allow for buying and selling just one-off purchases. Seemed a shame to waste my first attempt at Firefly artwork, so I have shoved the design up on Cafepress to see how it does.

Hi Halva!

Thanks for finding my designs shiny enough to be worthy of crossing the pond! ;)

Just would like to say, I think you did good work with your first design, I really like the mousepad the best. Just keep doing whatever strikes your fancy. I started out with one design a year and a half ago (started on Zazzle and they are going to the special hell now, but that is a different story) and look at what happened! A couple of hundred designs (if you count all the ones that CP nixed because I don't fight them when they say "possible copyright infringement"...besides, then those designs become "collectibles" LOL!) and I still add new ones every week, usually at the request of other fans.

We're not a fickle lot, and we appreciate anything anyone will do to help us show off our love of Firefly/Serenity.

P.S. I am slightly biased here, too, because you lead with a Wash design! He's my very favorite pilot! ;)

The mousepad is courtesy of a long grass-like brush I found in Photoshop and doodled with. I think perhaps I will experiment with it on the T Shirts too.

Wash is definitely my favourite pilot too.

I have only had around 10 sales in total but, to be honest, I didn't expect any so I am actually thrilled with just that.

I bought Blue Sun stuff from you - but I'll probably be back for more!

Yeah, I just tinker with features on my art programs until I get something shiny.

As for sales, I always get excited when I sell something, because, even though I have been doing this over a year now, I think "this will never sell" when I post it, and when it does I think "wow, I made someone happy, how weird is that?" LOL!
