I didn't think it was all that terrible a film. Pleasant, let-your-brain-coast entertainment with a few good moments here and there. I'm no Jolie fan, and Pitt does nothing for my wife, but I'd certainly bet the combined star power was the big box office draw. It's just how such things work.

It says a lot about most of the population in the world when Serenity is beaten by crap like that.. I reckon most people must be walking around with circus music playing in their heads like Homer Simpson.

anyways.. I just had to vent.

Hmmm... should I or shouldn't I.... what the heck: So what made you rent it?

See, now you guys made me feel like a total idiot cuz I liked the movie. I thought it was fun with some good action scenes. And Brad Pitt is indeed very hot. It's not near as good as Serenity, but it's still collection worthy.

Of course, sometimes I think I have a split personality because part of me likes these mindless entertainment films, while the other part seeks out lesser known, better, and more thought-provoking films like Serenity. If only you guys could see my collection. It's such a huge and confusing range.

Im not a fan of either actor so I didn't bother watching Mr and Mrs.

I liked some of the stuff Brad did early. My favorite being Meet Joe Black.

Yes I'm sure Ms Jolie for the lads and Mr Pitt for the lasses had something to do with it's success.

Sex sells and that film seemed to be selling just that :(

I didn't mean to come down on fans of the movie. We're all friends here. People can like whatever they want. I just think Serenity's cast deserved more attention than the big blockbuster movies with pretty actors who can't act.

Mal would kick Han Solo's ass.

Seems that all we need to get the back our 'verse is a decent sex scandal. Imagine this story for instance:

The girls of Firelfy talk about the mindblowing casting which had nothing to do with any mind after all

That would be quite a crowd puller I guess.

I think what blows my mind is Firefly being axed so early in the game while Charmed is on season 8!

Well, yeah, I agree with you on that score. Serenity should have got just as much attention as Mr. and Mrs. Smith did, if not more. Fact of the matter is, though, Hollywood doesn't work that way. Sad but true. So I'm just gonna enjoy or not enjoy each film on its own merits and not worry about who is or isn't in it and how it does. It's about the only way to stay sane.

I liked Mr and Mrs Smith. It was good for what it was.,.. a Action movie with big names in it. and most of the country doesn't like Sci-Fi. They were horribly deprived if they dont' like sci-fi, but thats just bad parenting *end sarcasism*
