Don't trust Best Buy.
I mean, go ahead and pre-order, but don't bank on actually GETTING it shipped on Dec 9th...
I've had a go-round or two with them before on this crap, the worst of which was the Playstation2 network adaptor when they first came out and were rare as hell.
Ran all over town trying to get one, and eventually wound up on Best Buys site which said "IN STOCK" - to me that means THEY HAVE THEM.
As soon as I put in the order, and they got my MONEY... it clicked over to "back ordered" and I hadda wait THREE GORRAM MONTHS for something they claimed was "in stock" to get my cash.
And is Amazon is sold completely out, and so quickly, do you REALLY believe Best Buy is gonna have more stock ? really ? get real.
Having no other choice, I have an order in too, but I'd say the sun rising in the west is a safer bet than Best Buy actually shipping them on the 9th guys and gals, so be prepared when it don't happen, ok ?
Just figured some fair warning was in order, cause they're just about notorious for claiming they have stuff in stock when they don't.

Well, after receiving a ton of email to the effect of "Where did
Firefly go?!?" I thought I'd better post a news item. Amazon.com seems to be
jumping the gun on Fox product these days, and they've done it again
with this release. They post something, take a bunch of orders, then Fox
probably calls them and they pull the orders and cause mass confusion.
Way to go Amazon! The fact that Amazon has pulled the product off their
website means nothing, and we expect the set to be released when it's
supposed to be released. Don't like the antics of an etailer cause you
stress. Since there's no place to buy the set, we pulled it from our
site). Once it goes back on sale we'll post it again.

released on DVD. If you no longer want to receive these emails you may
