Oh, I say gorrammit ALL the time, i say Fei OO, a lot, (whowever you type that)And another one i say alot is "what in the spictre-hell is going on". But no one really questions me. Im allways saying "If someone tryes to kill you, you just try to kill them right back" whenever i can (surprisingly a lot) and I say Shiny a little too much to be handled.

You start knitting tiny Jayne hats for next years Christmas tree, and they turn out so well, you decide to knit a little firefly bug, and that turns out shiny, so you knit a purple Fruiy Oaty octopus. But that doesn't turn out, so you keep trying until you get it right. And you decide to decorate a whole Christmas tree in little knit Firefly items...and its only January.

How adorable you are!

I think you may have helped me decorate my tree this year. Have any patterns you can share or point me to?

I'm already using "gorram" and "verse" and a whole lot more "aint's" than I should.

"You can't take the sky from me..."

I wouldn't go as far as saying obsessive, but I play Dungeons and Dragons now with the theatre teacher, who is now a poker dealer here in Vegas, that got me into it, along with 3 other of her proior students. But anywho, whenever we can in our scenario we're playing, we always either quote Firefly/Serenity, some so minor some of us don't even pick up on it until 5 minutes after it's been said.

I always use words like "shiny" and "gorram" and those Chinese phrases. Plus I have tons of Firefly/ Serenity stuff in my room. I've got Alan Tudyk pictures all over. But hey..being obsessed is a good thing

"I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all"

Last week, in a staff meeting, during a presentation in front of 200 people I used the word Gorrum by accident. The people there gave me an instant look of confusion, which made me suddenly aware that I used the wrong word with the wrong audience! I corrected myself and quickly moved on in the presentation. OMG! That was close!!!!!

I've found between Firefly and Battlestar Galactica, my language seems to be changing.

Words like Rutting, Gorrum, Shiny, Tasties, Pretties, and Frak have worked their way into my speech pattern.

Oh well! The power of televsion at work I suppose!

You know you're obsessed when...

Your boyfriend asks how your day was and quickly forbids you to say anything about Firefly/Serenity when you talk to him.

Your parents say, "Can we quote a movie OTHER than Serenity?" (The "we" in this case refers to me.)

You say "I'll be in my bunk" and everyone around you knows exaclty what you're talking about because you've explained the line to them, even though they haven't seen Firefly or Serenity.

You sing the song "Hero of Canton" as loud as you can--even when you're not in the shower.

You find out that your college professor is a Buffy/Joss fan so you go talk to her after class and confess how much you love Firefly.

You find that words like gorramnit, shiny, dong-ma, and expressions like man-ape-gone-wrong-thing
have slipped into your vernacular.

Someone says something and there's a Firefly/Serenity line that fits perfectly into the situation, so you say it and everyone looks at you like you're crazy.

The thing you think about most isn't boys, money, school, or work. It's, "when am I gonna get a chance to watch another episode," even though you've seen them all a gazillion times already.

Mostly, though, you know you're obsessed when your family, friends, and even you say that you are.

Wacky fun!

You know when you're obsessed when...

1. You go to Blockbusters and the like and put Serenity front and center on every gorram shelf and such so everyone can see it.

2. You go to a Virgin Megastore and watch Serenity on the TVs without the sound on and start quoting the movie to everyone nearby you(Like me)

And...

3. You start yelling out Chinese explitives in school and instead of asking people if they comprehend, you say Dong Ma(Once again, like me. Nearly said it to my sister.)

Jayne: Are you saying River's a witch?
Wash: Yes, Jayne, she's a witch. She's had congress with the Beast.
Jayne: She's in Congress?
Wash: How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious!

you know you're obsessed when you start berating yourself for not being able to remember what episode a specific line is from.

"The war's long done. We're all just folk now."
