I voted for "Serenity", of course. Not only the best SF/F episode on TV in the past year, it also by far tops any so-called SF movie that played at the box office in the last year.
The biggest mystery to me is how Enterprise's "A Night in Sickbay" could have been nominated. Even most diehard Trek, and specifcially Enterprise fans, have all but disowned this episode as an embaressment and misfire in an admittedly uneven season. I say this as someone who watches Enterprise regulary myslef.
And why two nominations for the mediocre Enterprise, and not one for the superior Sf that of Stargate SG-1.
I can only think aloud: Those who nominate the Hugo awards, despite presuming to represent the best of the world SF community (includin' them lit'rary folks), are just a STUPID nad NEARSIGHTED as the dimwits who come up with the nominations for the grammys and academy awards (if those last two awards are supposed to be capitalized, they'll have to do more to earn that distinction from me).
Anyway, glad that "Serenity" got nominated. If it doesn't win, I'd say the World Science Fiction Convention can be dispensed with as a joke (these are the same yuk-a-luks who gave "The Trouble With Tribbles" best SF drama of the year--must have something to do with the French influence....
