I was just looking at scifi.com and Firefly has been replaced by John Doe on the schedual. don't get me wrong I liked John Doe, but I loved Firefly!
Couldn't they find a better place to put John Doe and Keep Firefly flying in that 7:00 time slot a little longer?
Do you know what the chain of command is?
It's a chain...
And I'm gonna beat you with until you do as i command!

scifi only ran the show to promote the movie.
the show got enough viewers to justify running the reruns in a marathon (last friday) but now, its purpose (to them, at least) is finished

But then what's the purpose of John Doe?
I watched John Doe until December, then couldn't, wouldn't go back. I just no longer cared what happened or who John Doe was. I still don't.
I hope they bring back Firefly to SciFi. It just so good to watch it over and over again.

Let's write them and tell them how we feel about replacing Firefly with John Doe.
Here's the link: feedback@scifi.com
They aren't gonna know that we all want to see Firefly on SciFi unless we tell them!
I have been writing them frequently and politely and with a limited amount of begging. ( ok, not really begging, but... I would!)
" You hold. Hold til I get back." Mal

Uh, no big mystery here. This is what SciFi does... pick up short lived genre shows (not just scifi), air how ever many episodes there are, and move on to the next show.
After they run out of John Doe eps, they'll move on to the next 1-season show theyv've picked up. Probably the re-vamp of Kolchak: The Night Stalker on a guess (they've already picked up the rights).
"Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle."
