Now this is my type of thread!
First of all, carrying on the theme of "Movies with the most amazing endings":
1. The Sixth Sense - Absolutely jaw dropping and fantastic
2. Unbreakable - would have been better if I hadn't already read about that fact (not knowing that it was actaully an end twist)
3. Terminator 3 - I know a lot of fans are divided on this movie but I love it. I thought it was entertaining all through, but that ending really set it up on high. Gives me chills
4. I Robot - again, another movie I love to bits with a great ending
5. Spider-man 2 - Jump for joy! "Go get him tiger"
6. The Ring (Remake) - what an end to reveal that after all that, she wasn't supposed to help her. The moment with Samara coming out of the tv is the stuff of nightmares.
7. X-Men 2 - she will rise again
8. Saw - Great twist ending. Nuff said
9. The Matrix - Neo bouncing back and beating the crap out of Mr Smith without batting an eyelid... superb.
10. Signs - I love how it all comes together at the end and Joaquin Phoenix really gives that alien a good beating
And lastly, the Angel series finale. I know its not a movie but it had one hell of an ending
Notable mentions to:
The Shawshank Redemption (depressing movie at times, happy ending);
The Green Mile (depressing movie at times, downbeat ending);
The Butterfly Effect (pretty much depressing all through - though as much as the Directors cut ending flows better with the rest of the film, I prefer the more hopeful ending of the theatrical cut);
Donnie Darko (I'm not gonna claim to understand the movie completely, but it's very enjoyable, and I love the end);
and The Usual Suspects (only seen this once but will do again. Pity the twist ending didn't have much of an effect on me since I KNEW it had a twist and so was expecting it)
I'll think about The Simpsons top 10, though to be honest, there's so many to choose from, and I probably would end up cruelly missing out classics

Ok a few more.
1 THE THING Both versions have a great ending. From the 1952 version where the: "Watch the skies" speech must have really freaked out the kids of the time when going home after watching that film, to the 1981 remake; with just two protagonists left and "the Thing" being in one of them!! But which one (there is a clue ;))
2 Manon De Source Ok now I know many of you may not have seen this so I won't say too much, but let me say this: It's all in the acting! Watch Yves Montand's face in particular his eyes - pure genius!!!
3 Akira Birth of a new universe? Can it be any bigger, and more mind bending....?
4 The Incredible Shrinking Man Ok now this still blows my mind for it's profoundness! Infinitely small...
5 Crimes and Misdemeanours Brilliant film and a very sharp ending. A must see.
6 The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover I dare you to watch this just for it's ending.
7 Invasion of the Body Snatchers The original version. Masterful and nightmarish. Oh and there are two endings to this film. Here in the UK we had the one Don Siegel wanted ie, somewhat bleak.
8 Remains of the DayUnrequited love again. Never done so well until.....
9 Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Ang Lee again.
10 Angels with Dirty Faces I'm a big fan of Cagney and Bogart and this is one of Cagney's best. Superb lighting design too in this film.

You make such great lists, Ric. Manon, I cried during the ribbon sewing. It was sad and disturbing yet I could understand it, appreciate that action. There have been moments, especially recently, where I've felt a bit like Ugolin.
And The Cook's ending was perfect.

The music to that film always struck me aswell.. that trumpet is played with such a melancholic tone...

This is gonna be tough, and I'll probably leave out some good ones, but here goes:
1. Bart Sells His Soul - I've mentioned on another thread that this is my fave ep, and I'm sticking by it. The whole dream soul world and Bart's quest to get his soul back is fantastic. Not to mention all the facts they use to point out that Bart has lost his soul. And finally, who can forget the beginning with "In the Garden of Eden" and Rev. Lovejoy's statement - "this sounds like rock and/or roll."
2. Homer the Great - Homer joins the legendary band of Stonecutters. I really like this ep, though I'm not always sure why. Of course, the "We Do" song is almost reason enough, and Patrick Stewart guest-voicing as Number One? Brilliant.
3. The Summer of 4 Foot 2 - This is one of my all-time faves for a few reasons. First one, this line that Lisa says, "Being myself didn't work, being someone else didn't work, maybe I'm just not meant to have friends." I have felt like this so many times throughout my life that I could really identify with her during the whole ep. Then, this ep contains one of my most fave lines ever: "Sweet merciful crap, my car!" Finally, there's the fight between Lisa and Bart in the kitchen, Bart using Milhouse's glasses as binoculars, and Homer calling Milhouse a poindexter. Overall classic episode.
4. Lisa on Ice - a great ep with a touching ending. Lisa and Bart remember all the good times they've had together as brother and sister and let the hockey game end in a tie. Brings a tear to my eye every time. There's lots of funny moments too: Homer chasing a kid through a locker room with a wet towel, Milhouse's teeth getting knocked out, the whole "if you get hit, it's your own fault", my sig line, and the lights being flicked on and off continually.
5. Bart the General - After continually getting beat up by Nelson, Bart finally gets back at him in a blaze of water balloons. Very satisfying moment. Numerous funny moments too, like Nelson's "you made me bleed my own blood", Grampa Simpson hitting Homer with a water balloon, and Bart's speech on wars at the end. Always been a personal fave of mine.
6. Dog of Death - After Santa's Little Helper has an operation which nearly breaks the Simpsons, they all get mad at him and he runs away to become one of Mr. Burns' hounds. I choose this one based entirely on the ending, when SLH is about to attack Bart and then he remembers all that Bart's done for him and becomes his dog again. The "I love you, boy" chokes me up every time.
7. Rosebud - Mr. Burns goes on a quest for his childhood teddy bear, Bobo. This one has many great moments. First of all, we see that Mr. Burns is somewhat human. Then, Homer gives up millions of dollars for his daughter's happiness. Maggie decides to give Bobo to Mr. Burns on her own because he clearly needs it more. And finally, the planet of the apes-like ending.
8. And Maggie Makes Three - the story of Maggie's birth and why there's no pictures of her in the baby album. I always like the Simpsons flashback eps, but this one's my fave. There's a lot of funny moments, like Homer demonstrating just how Marge got pregnant, Homer tearing out his hair each time he finds out Marge is pregnant, and his complete cluelessness over how Marge is pregnant. Finally, the end when we discover Homer put all the pictures of Maggie up at the power plant (do it for her) is very sweet.
9. Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in the Curse of the Flying Hellfish - what a title. This ep shows that Abe's part of a group of soldiers where th

It's things like this that remind me just how clever the Simpsons is QueenoftheNorth. Good list.
How you managed to do all that is beyond me. There are so many Episodes. Actually how many are there. I've only seen a few I know that.
I don't know what epsiode it was but they did an epsiode of spin-offs. And Chief Wigham and his son get there own show and it's set in Miami I think and done in the style of a buddy buddy film. Reaaaaal Funny. I love Chief Wigham!
