C: NO ADVERTISING! I didn't know Firefly even existed until I found the box set in the store after the show was cancelled. I watched Fox all the time. Now, I refuse!

FOX blames Joss for the failed show, but when you see the above, you realize that FOX is run by idiots

Patron: This woman's a witch!
Malcom: Yeah, but she's our witch. So cut her the hell down!

Exactly. You hit all the points. Fox just really dropped the ball, or secretly wanted to cancel us.

Jayne: Are you saying River's a witch?
Wash: Yes, Jayne, she's a witch. She's had congress with the Beast.
Jayne: She's in Congress?
Wash: How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious!

I give 'em to two to four years... Joss has Wonder Woman and Goners to do... it generally takes three years to make a movie from scratch. About two years for a sequel.

That doesn't mean people can't do only one thing at a time... but... it does mean that I've got a feeling that he is going to be more focused on other projects for a while.

This means though... keep buying the DVD... keep it high in the Must Want category... with the revenue that this could create and the amount of browncoats made every day this next movie or next series/show could be blockbuster material. We all just need to be patient... and persistant.

Brilliance is like 4WD... I allows you to get stuck in even more remote places...

Yes. I waited for Firefly. Watched the first episode, cringing, thinking, "Joss, this will never make it." After a couple more episodes, came to love it. Did my bit contributing to the cost of the Variety advertisement, likewise one of the Big Damn Cakes that were sent to the cast/crew. When the show was canceled, with three episodes never to be seen and no DVDs in sight, I stopped watching TV. Really. Haven't watched TV since. Why should I? I watch a lot of DVDs, though.

BTW people, if you don't know already, "Space: Above and Beyond" is on DVD.

And now the waiting begins. Will there be more TV? A movie sequel? Super-Extended Special DVD editions? No one knows, but we all want to do our part, even knowing it could be a losing battle.

There's something very familiar about this feeling. Ahh, yes. This is what it was like after the series was cancelled.

Of course, much as I hated that experience, and am not looking forward to reliving it, I just can't give up. I'm a Browncoat. Fighting uphill battles against all odds is what we do.

Good to know that the DVD is doing fine. Hopefully this means we'll get a 2-disc set with the rest of the extras as well as a sequel.

Just a random thought here, but about a month ago the Fox show 'Bones' made a clear reference to Firefly in its opening dialogue. I figure a nice package of DVD's and Sets for the writer's would be really well received. Not sure how to go about this but it might be worth a shot. If we continue to invade pop-culture with references to Serenity-Firefly I can't see anything but good coming from it, especially a BDS!!

I preordered the UK-version at Amazon Germany.

This will be the only copy I'll buy. By all love to the show, I won't spend more money than neccessary. This is for the real hardcore fans to do, not for me

Here is an amazing story for all to read.

I hate Sci Fi, it never interested me. One day I went to this really cheap movie theatre and saw a movie called Serenity. Although Serenity served as the begining to what many call an end. I think it was what opened the door. This is the first SciFi show that I like.. no love and the first show which I have ever been obsessed about. I am actually writing this from work, thats how obsessed I am. After I saw the movie, I went out and purchased the TV series, and I put my name on the waiting list on Amazon for the movie. This movie can convert anyone, I have single handed got more that 10 people to open up and enjoy a real TV show.

I just felt like sharing :biggrin

Oh yeah make sure you vote for the return of serenity on the sci fi link.
