Nathan Fillion has stared in Firefly ,Serenety and BTVS(Buffy the Vampire Slayer). He played great in all three roles. In BTVS he was evil but in Firefly he was good. It kinda confuses me. First I thought of him as being stero-typed into an evil person, now he has a good guys role. I think its weird that he can be very good at both types of roles.

That's why they call it acting.
Another good example is to contrast Jewel Staite as Kaylee vs. her role as Heidi on Wonderfalls.

I remember when Nathan played Joey on One Life to Live. He was a hottie even then.

Can't wait for Nathan's new movie in March. The trailer for "Slither" is on the internet somewhere. It looks good.
Found the trailer http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808716390/trailer
BTW the sheriff in The Train Job is in "Slither" too.

He is special, isn't he?? The very first time I saw SERENITY ( the movie -- I saw the movie first before finding out about FIREFLY)... It only took me a few minutes ( after the initial intro about the new verse, the escape of Simon and River)to realize who the main hero was gonna be and another minute to say to myself that .... That's my kinda hero..... I'd follow him to the end if I have to..... That's MY CAPTAIN!!!
This is the Captain... We're having a little problem with our entrance sequence so we might experience some turbulence and then explode"

I had the same exact gut level reaction to seeing Malcolm Reynolds the first time....
I would follow that man anywhere... he's my Captain.
"Oh, captain, my captain..."
Yea... hence my name..

At first I thought Nathan as Mal was ok until I saw what he did to Niska's man in Train Job (during it's tv's run). I merely said, "Holy crap!".
And so, MER always thought of the captain as funny/kick ass even when he's a mean little critter.
The End.

If he's been type-cast as anything, it's as a priest (good or evil). I believe he's had at least three priest roles (including Buffy and Dracula 2000). But he'll always be my Captain...

I first saw Nathan as Caleb and for reasons Buffy fans will know best, I soon hated him. Indeed, when I heard that Firefly was cancelled, my reaction was "good", partly so that Joss could concentrate on Angel and partly because of how personally I took Nathan's role.
Of course, I do feel a little sheepish about it now...

Was watching TBS today, Sunday, and saw Nathan in Blast From the Past as Cliff the ex boyfriend. Someone also pointed out that he was in Saving Private Ryan. Will have to watch again and see if I see him.
Have a better one!!!
