Any Serenity Toys or models?

Just curious. Are there any plans to release a toy/model of the ship Serenity? That would made a great decoration.

i've actually been meaning to make a thread like this. I'd love to see a detailed model of Serenity released. I'd display it with pride. I don't want a very cheaply made one, but i also don't want to pay a fortune, but a nicely detailed model would be great. I wish McFarlane would have gotten the license to make Serenity figures or the crew. For the amount you pay for McFarlane's figures, the quality can't be matched. $10 for the normal figures and $20 for special larger boxset figures. His company does great with action figures.

McFarlane makes excellent figures that actually look like the characters. They are also great value.

Unfotunately I don't think the Mal, Jayne 7 reaver figures sold well so we will not be getting nay more figures which will be unfortunate. This will also mean it is unlikely that a major manufacturer will make a toy of the ship.

Hopefully I am wrong though.

Our best bet is an aftermarket kit.

There is a resin one now but it is quite rough. I know of at least one being started now. I have started one. There are 2 paper models out there.

What I have noticed is that whenever a thread like this appears that there is some response but not overwhelming response. It makes me wonder if an aftermarket kit is feasible.

We won't be seeing any more action figures but there is hope for firefly!

Palisades puts out the Palz line that has included Die Hard, X-Files, and of course Buffy.

I would love to see Firefly line and the fact that they have Buffy could give hope. I am going to Toy Fair next month and I will see if I can find anything out about Firefly.

An airfix model would b cool, then you colud set it up to be the reaver version or the normal firefly version, it could have an opening hold and everything!
