About 9 years give or take
I am career QA like one other guy here who's in his 40s.
Most people use QA as a stepping stone to get into the industry, but some vets have to stay and make it a career, also lots of younglings to show the ropes to

We must be mad!

Luckily our company is the first I have been in that really respects QA and know's how important it is.
Most companies treat their cleaners with more respect than their QA departments

Good luck with the job when you go for it, any company in particular you want to aim for?

Games and Theory...aka Intelligence. I guess I would be an agent for the Alliance in the verse.

QA get a lot of respect from me, I can imagine what a horrible job that can be especially at crunch time.

Companies...well I'm in Scotland so nearby there's Rockstar, Real-Time Worlds, a few mobile phone games companies, and then down south there's Sony/Codemasters/Lionhead - quite a few big names as well as many smaller ones.

Ultimately though - emmigrate and work for Blizzard/Bioware/Valve or get a job at Revolution in York, they'd all be dreams come true really.

Ah
I would love to work for Blizz, you a WoW fan as well then?
I considered going for a GM position with Blizz but it would mean moving to Paris.
I work in Bath for Pivotal at the moment but have also worked for Microprose and Acclaim.
