I just got done casting my votes for this poll, and when I checked out the results, I have to say I was fairly surprised with some of the current results.
Now, of course, I voted for Serenity or our BDH's for just about every category
And apparently, a lot of other people did too! Despite the fact that a lot of the mainstream movies are running away with the polls, (King Kong?
) Serenity is putting up a fight! Here where we're listed to far in the categories:
Best Picture: #5
Best Actor: Nathan Fillion at #7
Best Actress: Summer Glau at #7
Best Supporting Actor: Adam Baldwin at #8
Best Director: Joss Whedon at #4
Funniest Movie: #7
Best Action Move: #6
Besr Popcorn(Most Entertaining)Movie: #5
Serenity (or one of BDH's) is in the top ten of nearly EVERY category where it could be considered! The only one it doesn't seem to have a representatvie in is Best Supporting Actress.
So Browncoats, head over to IMDB and start voting! Maybe we can take some of these "mainstream" movies down!

oh cool - thanks!
Now I've never done a poll over there so, I presume that I'll be able to find it...
But how can you gots anything against Peter Jackson flicks? They're pretty satisfying to This browncoat anyway

You should be able to find it, its right off to the right hand side above their news listings.
As for having anything against Peter Jackson films, I really don't. I loved all three LoTR movies. But King King was just....well, I found it to be kinda boring. I think it would have been a lot better if they would have shaved about 30-45 minutes off of it, which I think they could have done. It was just simply too long for me.

yup, it was easy - but the results were freakin' WHOO-HOO wonderful
(For those who DO find it difficult:

And listen - the numbers on that poll on, arguably one of the most significantly visited sites on the internet, were not so terribly huge...
My thinking is that it'll only take a few hundred more browncoats to overwhelm all other results of that poll.
And... I must admit... I haven't seen Kong yet... but I HIGHLY recommend P.J.'s "Forgotten Silver," which probably didn't have anywhere NEAR the LOTR audience
All browncoats must overwhelm the IMDB polls "or your friends will think you're stupid, inbred stacks of meat."
