Joss was a guest columnist for TVGuide.com and what he thought 2006 would bring for television. he does mention Firefly but i have read other reports that he says its the end.
"And what of me? My short-lived series Firefly was the basis for the epic action film Serenity (now available on DVD! I have little or no shame), and the future will see even more incarnations of this visionary work, as it returns to TV as Serenity: The Firefly Years, then back to film as Firefly: Serenity's Sequel, back to TV as SereniFly, and finally end as the direct-to-eyeglasses series Choose a Damn Name Already. I promise it'll be as heartwarming and exciting as the original Serenity, now available on DVD. (Explain again this thing you call shame....)"

That… was one painfully funny article to read!
And sadly… he is hitting the truth about the future of television dead on.
Once, just once, I want things to go according to
the gorram plan!

Also, the constant slew of cable mergers will result in the creation of CinePax, a channel that's just very confused about its morals.

Obviously, we'll see advances in technology. TiVo, iPods, streaming video — the way we watch TV is changing dramatically. It's on our phones, in our cars — even projected on specialized eyeglasses. But don't listen to the talk about having shows beamed directly into your brain. That's science-fiction nonsense. Shows will be stored in the pancreas and will enter the brain through the bloodstream after being downloaded into your iHole.
ROTFLMAO!
The guy is incredibly funny. LOL

Love it! Joss is such a visionary...although I'm not sure about uploading shows to my ihole......although most of what Fox shows is such crap maybe that would be the best way to distribute their shows!
Also don't forget to look forward to "Firenity - The Final Chapter (at least for now)" where a 90 year old Mal finally beats up Jayne using his own knit cap (of course Jayne's already dead due to a tragic accident involving freeweights, Vera and a midget that loved fire)***OOPS - SPOILER*** (so sorry about that), Zoe uses a knife to eat applesauce(old habits die hard even though she has dentures!), Kaylee gets bibbledy and marries some strawberries, Simon finally gets the stick surgically removed from his ihole and actually relaxes with his very own hamster(named after himself)(insert joke here if your mind runs to that gutter - otherwise - nevermind...no harm meant - no hamsters harmed), River runs a mite slower and is renamed Creek and slightly bruises people with her brain, and of course Inara is as young as ever (and you wondered what that shot was for!)but still hasn't given Mal any action (you know - just in case there's another sequal...leave something open).
Thanks Joss - great article...

"See, this is another sign of your tragic space dementia, all paranoid and crotchety. Breaks the heart."

The iHole; so true, it's sad. I'm just hoping that Microsoft thinks of it first. It wouldn't be in Apple's nature to create such a device.
