In The Message, right after Mal shoots Tracey, Kaylee turns and runs to Jayne. I thought I saw a tattoo on her lower back. I paused the dvd and it certainly looked like one to me. Can anyone confirm ?

Not necessarily. Actors cover their art with makeup all the time. It could have just been that the shirt was not supposed to flip up like that so it wasn't covered.

I don't remember for sure but check the Kaylee gets hired flashback in Out Of Gas. Have to watch that again.

I recall seeing a lot of skin in that scene so it would be covered up if Kaylee isn't supposed to have one. Uh... I'll be in my bunk.

Yup, in the message you see it a few times when Tracey is holding Kaylee hostage. Its on the small of her back, and since you can see some skin off that shirt, its visable.

If you have the Firefly DVD set you can't miss it. Look at the beginning shots of a naked Mal at the beginning of Trash. It's right there staring at you on Nathan's right hip/thigh area.

Read on a thread somewhere here that he got it when he was 18 or so.

According to Nathan (yes, I'm on a first name basis with him)(Okay, not so much, but anyway...), the tattoo is an Egyptian glyph that translates to mean: "Property of Gina Norres."

That's sweet.

I've also read someplace that there's a peace symbol in there somewhere.
