I hate to nitpick, but I've seen the line River says misquoted frequently on this board, in signatures and avatars and whatnot.
The correct version of the quote reads: "Bible's broken. Contradictions, false logistics, doesn't make sense."
That is the word is "logistics," not "logics."

It is a common theme in science fiction to explore the limitations of logic, and the contraction of genius without imagination and faith. River’s comments are ironic, because it is actually the Bible that smarter then her, as Book points out; it is not the Bible that is broken, but rather her inability to understand faith.
An irony that I think we would have seen explored further had the episodes continued and River been allowed to develop towards a stronger understanding of what “false logistics” really means in this case.

Now, you're right. The term "logistic" does refer to symbolic logic. As a philosophy guy, I'd better know that. The thing I was pointing out was that the term "logistics" is very rarely used in common speech referring to logic or logical arguments--it's almost always a referrence to, well, that stuff in the definition up there. Hence, while River means logic (which I understand), my brain always flashes back to the other definition and I visualize Moses handing out MREs or somesuch.

, the Merriam-Webster dictionary has two definitions for logistics, with the more general definition being an application to, and really a description of, mathematics. And I understand your point, and that you were being funny. It wasn’t my intent to insult you, if I did. I just thought I would throw in my obtuse 2¢. I rather thought my post was somewhat insightful.
