I'm seeing a really stunned guy saying:
"Did she just go mad and fall asleep?"

oh god I wish there was a guy who would think that.
No, sadly I am in a Land Devoid of Interesting Men. (commonly known as Liverpool) Theres one person in the whole of my 'real' life who has even the slightest inkling of what a browncoat is and he's about 18 years older than me and dating my mother.
Of the rest of them, garrgh, they seem to form two main groupings, the one where their only concept of fun and interesting is to get tanked up of a night time and find something to rub themselves against.
The other lot take themselves so seriously! 'Artistes' music snobs etc. blah blah blah - even the local geeks are elitist and nausiatingly boring.
The local sense of humor seems to be laddish and potty minded, or cynical and negative. Absolutely no-one understands the concept of personal space -groping is as acceptable as a handshake from what i've seen (and had to endure before I could kick them)
I am generalising , but when every guy you see looks like almost a carbon copy of the last guy you went out of your way to avoid, its very hard not to.
I mean i'd settle for eye-candy, but theres precious little of that around.
I'm desperatly trying not to start quoting Wilde at the moment.
who ever would have thought that an intelligent, fun-loving guy with the guts to stand up and say 'yeah, this is me, sod you if you have issues with it' would be such a rarity.

Well there is a guy who thought like that, that'd be me, but I've also got that cynical negative sense of humour thing going on...
Your obviously being too choosy, that's the problem.
There's nothing wrong with a guy who thinks the hieght of wit is emitted by the lower abdomen...
Remember the comedy greats Terrance and Phillip.
Why you lookin' at me like that? What's that knife for? You gonna cut some bread?
...
Did anyone see the bit on Film 2005 Films of the Year about the number one film of the year being a certain film we all might have seen?

citizen - no issues with cynical and negative humor its self,(see above!) only when its relentless when they poo-poo everything thats not been rigorously examined and rated by their cronies as 'cool' enough.
I've seen your moments of happy happy joy joy, you can't fool me that you're a cynical barsteward
All of you - i'd snap you up in moments, only one problem - the Atlantic ocean(well, in citizens case, its only a £50 train fare, but even that is insurmountable)
Theres actually probably at least a million men around the world who i'd be very happy to spend an evening with at least, point I was making was that not a single one of 'em lives in Liverpool, or even close.
*sigh*
oh, folorn little me...

50 pounds insurmountable? Good god woman! That can't be the case. You need to ask yourself: "What would Mal do?"

We tend to frown on Armed bank robberies here I'm afraid. Besides psychics are hard to come by...
