HEY i was abused when i was young and i love the movie. Thats no excuse. Ok so nightass, i realise you think its shit becuase you couldn't follow the beginning. It is a pretty complex opening so its a fair comment. Because you might not be able to understand a film, it doesn't mean it's shit. Remeber its YOU who couldn't follow it whetherr thats the films fault or yours is open to discussion. I didn't follow it very well either the first time i saw it and i fuckign hated firefly the first time i saw that. Have you any other constructive criticism on the film? It makes a change hearing bad points, i for one find them pretty interesting so please elaborate.

When I was a kid I used to buy books because of their pretty covers... so I can relate.
Personally, I think those titles, 'Firefly' and 'Serenity' couldn't be better.
The FF universe in both TV format and film is what they call a 'sleeper-hit'. The market is overly saturated right now. Word-of-mouth with increased exposure and time will bring the phenomenon into it's own. Just a matter of time. The seeds have been planted... let nature take it's course.
...and those who judge stories by their titles will either tag along or watch other shows with pedestrian content, admiring the catchy opening credits.
