Yep, have a safe flight and all that.
My youngest will be flying back from Florida on the 2nd; certainly not the same as a Flug over the Big Pond, but he'll be in good company with a gazillion other travellers that day, methinks.
How's everyone doing this fine day?

I am BORED.
I don't want to be at work. I have lots of stuff I could be doing, but it's all so BORING.
I think maybe I'll go take my lunch break now.

Ditto. There's hardly anyone at the lab this week, and precious little to do until certain people come back and provide some direction. I'm filling time catching up on admin crud and some technical reading and it's BORING.
Lunch for me, too.

I like the quiet days. It's a nice change.
Oh, and chapter two.

Shiny! You've worked past that pesky writer's block, eh?
Normally I adore quiet, but when at work I at least prefer having productive things to do. Reading technical manuals without even a copy of the associated software to practice on is such drudgery. I don't think the program manager expected I'd be done with my portion of the existing project so soon, and there's not a jot I can do to help the guy who's finishing up his own part of it, or I would. It'll all be set right when the manager gets back from vacation on Tuesday; in the meantime I'll just mope and whine.

Yeah, I had some ideas, specifically the one presented in that chapter: how to find one spaceship out of the thousands in the 'verse. I quite like the one I came up with
Once I have some more ideas for how to proceed (I have a scheme, but nothing concrete yet) I shall post chapter one in the Blue Sun Room, then add more as the writing of other chapters progresses. That way, I keep ahead of the game, as it were.
