This has been reported elsewhere but I think this is the original source of news:

I had heard somewhere that it was nominated for a BAFTRA award for best picture (to the UK Browncoats, is this true?). This is good news!

Is the BBC showing the top 10 chart tonight, what channel?

It's on the BAFTA long list but then again, so is every other film released this year, practically. Even Revolver.

I didn't much care for Revolver, even though I liked Guy Ricthie's other works such as Lock Stock and Snatch

Most excellant. I was gobsmacked. My jaw hit the floor. Joss Whedon accepting the award choked me up. Well done Joss!

Yup.

Serenity. No 1. Jaw hits floor, does dance of joy.

"This movie may be a beautiful butterfly, but I loved that damn caterpillar." Joss Whedon.

Wow, I can't believe it won! That was so cool! Loved Joss' exception speech.
