The Christmas Special was really good. And I'm willing to bet it racked up some huge viewing figures. Well worth seeing when it turns up on the BBC World Service or whatever.

However, I can't see the reasoning behind employing a deaf sound engineer. The music was so loud ALL THE BLOODY TIME you practically needed subtitles.

However, however,it did have an all-time greatest one word description of the earth that was literally stunning.

No spoilers, just Turkey sandwiches for the next week...

You wouldn't want to piss off Doctor Ecclestone, would you? Doctor Tennant is just as badass.

Yup. Russel T Davis did good once again. Really good. David Tennant is an excellent time lord. The episode was jam packed with stuff. It was really funny and action packed. It looked like they had a bigger budget this time around too.

There were a few really minor bits of dialogue that were predictable or a little cheesy IMHO, but 'The Christmas invasion' left me with a big smile on my face at the end of it.

An enjoyable hour of brit sci-fi! I was saddened when it was all over. Have to wait until the spring for more. Glad to have it back on the beeb though!

Really looking forward to the second series now!

Damn I missed it. I was made to watch coronation street. Good grief. It could have been worse. It could have been Eastenders. I then wouldn't be writing this as I would have topped myself .LOL

I think Tennant makes an almost perfect Doctor, it also helps that he obviously really wants to play the part (I wasn't so convinced of that with CE)

Been a Who fan since forever; Baker my favorite Doc... Most friends here do not understand it. F*rting aliens & Rose... LOL both something completely dif for the Doc. Best single line lately- calling the Doc 'A U-boat skipper'!:]

Looking forward to seeing the Christmas special, thanks for the positives on it. Was a bit worried it might turn out like that pitiful US film...

Heard rumor Doc might re-inc as a female sometime; interesting idea but would fans go for it?

Oh do do! Unless of course its going to cost you a couple of limbs, and then its probably better to just get the dvds seein' as its about the only decent thing the beeb is doing at the moment.

It was frickin' brilliant, I missed the first twenty minutes though, just hoping it gets repeated on BBC3 like the series.

I though it was going to be awful with Tennent as the doctor, theres just something about the man that wierds me out, but that quality managed to add to the great docteriness instead of just making him a creepy bugger in pj's.

I like, can't wait for the spring. Just hoping they get a big enough budget to actually leave planet earth.
