Has anyone arranged "Hero of Canton" into four-part SATB, by chance? I have three friends who would love to sing this with me for a cabaret performance, and if anyone is good at arranging music, we would be thrilled.

All we need is acapella, basic four-part harmony. Anyone who knows where to find this, or would be willing to arrange it, will be rewarded accordingly.

Thanks in advance!

(PS: same goes for "Ballad of Serenity")

If someone writes or gives me the basic melody (for any of the parts) I could arrange it SATB.

Yo... I've actually been working on the "Hero of Canton" eversince I heard the song on the show. (I must've almost killed that episode rweinding that scene and playing it over and over. :P ) I've got half the chords figured out, here's what I have.. If you're interested..

--Intro-- D, E(or Em), D, E, C, G, A, D
(Let the last chord ring)
That's all I have? The first part of the verse starts out in E.. This tunning is a Basic E tunning.. I hope this helps; heh, I hope it's right.. If it's not, I do apologize... And if it is wrong and you find the right one; pleeeeaassseeee let me know... Thanks... And hope it works for ya.... It's a really cool song. PeacE ! !

Julesong, were you still willing to arrange "Ballad of Serenity?"

Just curious.

There's actually more than one way to play the "Ballad of Serenity." The first way is the way the guitar is played on the theme song from the show itself.

E-------------1-----3--------3-------
A-3-----1-----3-----5----3---2-------
D-5-----3-----3-----5----2---0-------
G-5-----3----------------0---0-------
B------------------------1---3-------
E----------------------------3-------

That one is is basic E-tunning.

The other way is the way that Joss Whedon plays it on the original rough cut from the DVD-Special Feature.

E(d------3-------------------------3--------------
A(d--0---2----0----0-----2----3----2--------------
D(d--2---0----0----2-----4----2----0--------------
G(d--2---0----2----2-----4----0----0--------------
B(d--2---3----3----2-----2----1----3--------------
E(d------3----2----------2---------3--------------

After you listen to the song you'll be able to put the chords in place. See'in that it's a short song, shouldn't be much of a problem. This version is actually tune down 1/2 step from basic -E-.

Hope this helps. PeacE ! !
