I have the alpha chat up on my computer most of the day at work...most of the songs on the radio remind me of the Firefly crew, who are also the subject of my current creative project...I've been known to point at the TV and scream "JAYNE!"...and yes, I do in fact own a brown suede long coat.
I've spent a lot of time trying to deny it, and frankly I'm pooped! Let's face it, folks - I am a lost cause. I'm a Browncoat - proud of it!!
Best part of it is I'm not alone...
I found the way, by the sound of your voice--so many things to say.

You are CORRECT. You are not alone. I think about Firefly all the time. Sometimes I catch myself day-dreaming about being a hand on Serenity. (sigh) I think about how cool it would be if someone created a Firefly game for Playstation, X-Box, whatever, it doesn't matter, because if they did, I would go right out and buy the gaming system that supports the game. And yes, I too own a brown coat. One is a leather bomber's jacket, the other is a tan (light brown
) trench coat. I am counting the days until the DVD's release.
Will it have all the shows? Will it have added extras, like some DVD's do? Is it definitely coming out, or are we just being hopeful? Someone write back, PLEASE. I gots ta know.
Viva Firefly! Go to Hell Fox!

No better way to be. I have a friend who is my supplier. He downloads the episodes for me, and then I take the responsibility to educate all of my friends of all that is Firefly. I am going to buy a DVD player for Christmas, just so I can get the DVD set. I want all Firefly memorobilia I can get my mits on. I even read "good" fan-fics just to keep my fix. I use the word "shiny" at least 5 times a day. My wallpaper at work is Firefly. I quote Firefly like an old Star Wars junkie. I hear good modern "cowboy rock" and think that would rock for the Movie soundtrack. Imagine somewhere in the midst of the Firefly Movie "Whiskey in the Jar" by Metallica. or even resurrect "Blaze of Glory" or Stick to Your Guns - Bon Jovi. My firend said they could maybe do Cowboy by Kid-Rock ????? maybe. Where have all the Cowboys gone - Paula Cole. Maybe Creed - Higher (though a little overdone.) Possibly - Strong Enough - by Sheryl Crow. Knockin on Heaven's Door - Either the original or some Good new Band covers it, (not Gn'r- it just got run in the ground.)I guess you get the idea. Any additions??? Yeah, Firefly now and forever.
I often say goodbye with an added "Keep Flying" Can't get enough, want more. I llok for stuff on E-bay all the time. When the movie is released I will so be in line. I kindof hope they keep the same basic language as the TV show. I mean it wouldn't make sense for the to start cussing in English just because they are on the big screen, when they have set such a cool presedence with the whole Chineese thing. Anyway I ramble.

Creed's "With Arms Wide Open" -- would be very shiny.
The group Nickel Creek would fit really well, as well as Chris Thile's solo mandolin work and some of Sean Watkins' stuff. I don't know how to categorise Nickel Creek -- kinda like trying to categorise Firefly.

Hello fellow addicts. Uh, my name is Kaythryn, and yes, I too am a Firefly junkie.
I’m into the hard stuff, I get my biggest fix from my shiny FF DVD’s, and you browncoats. I often find myself talking to people completely in FF quotes and wait to see how long it takes them to figure it out. Most of the time they’re clueless until I get to “some people juggle geese”. I don’t own a browncoat with it being 90 degrees here and all, but I am sportin’ a fine collection of FF tee-shirts and crafty things. I went through a phase during school when I tried to wean myself off of FF a little but I failed. I thought I could quit if I wanted to, but now I know I cant. I’m addicted. My friends and family have tried to help me out, they’ve encouraged me to watch some reality TV shows and a few episodes of the new star trek but it’s not the same. They’ve settled into a comfortable denial now, pretending that I am like them, and that when I’m watching FF it’s really just a re-run of Friends. It’s better that way.

Yes, but ShepherdofHermas, acceptance of your addiction is the finest and shinest way of not surpassing it, but of course embracing it fully.
I mean honestly, how many people who LOVE chocolate have you ever met who wanted to give it up? That's Firefly to me - the best, most perfect piece of chocolate that I never want to give up.

Hey, I'm not a purplebelly, or wear blue gloves....
I don't live in the core or eat human flesh, or own the complete line of Blue Sun products....
and I don't know Gail Berman, Sandy Grushow or Peter Chernin from the Fox Network,
although I'm certain they're complete backbirths.
I like a ship that's broken in, not a flying office building.
I enjoy entertainment of quality , not Gorram reality television.
And I pronounce it 'Crap', not 'Fox'.
I can proudly wear my Browncoat on Unification Day.
I believe in Independance, not Unification,
diversity, not assimilation,
and that Jayne is a truly proud and noble animal.
Vera is a rifle, a Grizwald is a Grenade,
and it is pronounced 'zed' not 'zee', 'zed' !!!!
Firefly is the best show thats ever been on television!
The movie will rock!
and we will rise again
My name is Gino Biffaroni!!
And I am Browncoat!!!

Hi! My name is CultTVGirl. And I'm a Firefly junkie!
Shiny has become one of the most used words in my vocabulary and I sing the Firefly theme song while travelling on trains.
But I'm lucky - my brother is also a Firefly junkie. So we just look crazy together...
Book: “A duel?”
Wash: “With swords?”
Simon: “The Captain's a good fighter, he must know how to handle a sword?”
Zoe: “I think he knows which end to hold.”

Long life to us all. I can't with till the movie absolutely sets the silver screen ablaze and all the people start talking about this new movie and the fact that it should be made a TV show. In a way it will almost be sad. Those poor depraved souls.
But then they will finally see the "shiny" light.
