The Tick was screamingly funny. Naturally it had to go. I'm really enjoying Keen Eddie which I understand is also on its way out, natch!
FWIW, someone has a hilarious quote from The Tick as their .sig.

I remember. It was based on White Wolf's Vampire RPG. However, in Fox's defense (God, I can't beleive that I'm saying that) the thing that pushed the show over the edge toward cancellation was the fact that the guy who played the Prince of the City died.
Also - it was produced by Tori Spelling (of 90210 fame) - how long could it have gone without turning into a prime time soap opera?

In my book, Family Guy is #2 and all these shameless reality shows are # 3. I'm just sickened by the whole thing. Since Firefly was cancelled, I have not watched 2 seconds of the Fox network, and it will be a Gorramn cold day in Hell before I ever do.
Cancelling a show that's ratings are improving, talk about stupid. Fox execs are so effing stupid they couldn't count their balls and come up with the same number twice, and I've got half a mind to send them a sharp letter telling them how much I think they SUCK!
Viva Firefly!!! Go to Hell, "Fux"!

gorram fox...a pox on fox...i am watching Keen Eddie right now (an Ally McBeal-esque cop show set in England) fully aware that it is currently on Hiatus. also, since everything else is in reruns, it's the only thing that's actually new, even if it is doomed.
why then do I bother? because Mark Valley has extremely blue eyes AND dimples - hull-OO! you don't think I'm getting sucked in by quality TV again, do you? perish the thought!!
gorram fox!!
I found the way, by the sound of your voice--so many things to say.
These are only words. Now I've only words. Once there was a choice.

I have had the greatest idea for a fanfic.
Doctor Berman and Mrs Hyde
By day, Gail Berman commissions daring new edgy television that will air in the new season on the Fox network, but no sooner has she done that and gone to bed, does her alter ego take over and cancel all of the shows in the attempt to make Fox a successful channel.
I'm suprised any television producers still make material for the worst channel in the world - knowing full well that only Joe Millionaire and the Simpsons will ever go beyond one season.
The Fox network. They brought us Two Guys and a Girl, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Family Guy, Futurama, Brimstone, The tick, British Sky Broadcasting, only to snatch them all away.
They left us with 24.

I hope that the cast and crew of Firefly enjoy all the success and happiness that they deserve and that Gail Berman chokes to death on her own puke, which is what she deserves for cancelling Firefly.
Viva Firefly! Down with the FauX network.

Remember the Christmas episode of The Family Guy where Lois is having an attack of anti-Christmas spirit and melts down Frosty the Snowman, who, when the kids put the magic top hat that has blown off of him back onto him, screams "Take it off, take it off" (melting in agonizing pain)? Was there ever such a Christmas? Was there ever such a show? And Titus! And Tick! Seriously, what is wrong with these people? How did people brain-damaged enough to cancel these shows ever have the brains to buy them and air them in the first place? NOT A RHETORICAL QUESTION - I REALLY WANT TO KNOW! Does anyone have any real inner sanctum info on the machinations at Fox? What are the names and titles of the individuals with the final say on these things? Is it a constantly shifting power base, or some kind of bi-polar cycling mood thing, or do they just fire everyone regularly to keep things interesting? Seriously, we are not stupid people at this website, maybe we can pool some information and figure this out. I mean, somebody must still care something (financial) for Firefly or the DVD wouldn't have gotten off the ground. What really happened?

It has already been mentioned that this was an RPG to start. One I run for my group so watched with baited breath. And was horrified by the treatment. They tried to explain to much to fast. Made the show very convulted. Which I am sure is becuase fox would not give the producers any time to develop it at a slower pace.fox BITES
Morbid and creep-ifying I got no problem with.
