The Ref (Denis Leary, Kevin Spacey) It starts off a little slow, but damn it's funny.
And Chris, I hear ya on the "big hair" issue.

1. A Charlie Brown Christmas (my fave)
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated)
3. A Christmas Story ( my daughters fave)
4. Die Hard ( my hubby's fave)
Then it's Serenity, Serenity, Serenity!
Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas! Indeed!

Now if y'all want a good weep, but in a contained and manly (or womanly) welling up, but not wanting to make a fuss because it's British, dammit fashion, you have to go for "The Railway Children."
Be sure it's the 1970 version directed by Lionel Jeffries. He nailed all the classic moments. The other versions. Not so much.
G
Triple hit award to Jenny Agutter for being in that, the 1968 and the 2000 versions. (And for being in the (still) awesome "An American Werewolf in London.")

Dude, is nobody gonna watch Bill Murray in SCROOGED?
"ADORED? C'mon, let's be honest, Lew. You PAID for the women."
"You can barely see them nipples."
"See? And these guys are REALLY looking."
"The bitch hit me with a toaster."

Now we're finishing this deal, and then maybe we'll come back for those morons who got themselves caught. You can't change that by getting all... bendy...
