Angel: S1 - Oh, the FIREFLY premonitions......

I'm finally going over the S1 DVDs, so I get each ep. in order, no commericals, etc.. Man, what a great show. ( For some unimportant reason, I started w/S2, then 3,4,5.) The small things, tiny inferences that I pick up here and there that just SCREAM Firefly. The obvoius stuff, like in Prodigal ,Christina Hendricks ( YoSaffBridge) as the bar maid. But other things in that same episode..

Blue Circle Deliveries: When I saw that logo, I instantly thought - Hey...Blue Sun!

Wesley utters a line , " That was bracing! ", reminded me of the flashback from The Message, where Mal loudly fires back at some Alliance targets, just after Zoe explains that stealth is the number one rule of battle to Tracey.

I'm sure there are many more.

Yeah, I noticed the first 2. it's pretty cool how they're there, and stuff. and yeah, Angel is great, better than Buffy IMO.

That happens rather often. I think since there were a lot of the same writers involved with both shows, they tended to put some of their favorite sayings and such into the scripts. There was another reference in season 5 of Angel about wishes and horses like in Firefly (Jayne says it I believe).

I just think it's neat. And I know there's references in Angel ( Buffy? ) to such words as shiny, etc...., but certain lines appearing in the different shows are fun to catch. Even when there are references to other movies, like Illyria saying to Wesley "...as you wish ", which some see as an hommage to The Princess Bride. Just adds to the wholesome goodness of the viewing experience.
