Welcome, and thanks for telling your story. Yes, it is a little like a 12-step program around here, and we all have the same addiction! As far as feeding that addiction.... There is Serenity (the Big Damn Movie!), the River Tam Sessions (at session416 dot com), the novelisation of the movie, the Visual Companion to the movie, the Dark Horse comic books, and of course the fan fiction and art in the Blue Sun Room right here at FFF.net, not to mention the series and movie soundtracks. Instead of creating a new thread i thought i should just post here. Noob Browncoat too, but heavily addicted!
I'm from germany and having a really tough time getting people to watch firefly and serenity! Everyone seems to prefer Star Wars (which is okay, if they watch the classic ones) or crap like chronicles of riddick (ouch).
I first heard about the show reading serenity reviews and instantly bought the DVD's...and never have i watched a dvd i bought more often than this one! I even watched the episodes at work, again and again.
Just wanna let you ppl know that there are some fanatics over here too - doing their best to promote the greatness of this show.

Funny, I too watch Firefly at work, and my customers enjoy it. And our worker watches it at lunch with me. We NEVER tire of them. Take turns picking which ones to watch.
Firefly has ruined just about every other tv show or movie for me. I can't stand to be away from the 'verse for too long.
Welcome. You will like it here, the folks here are shiny. I've been here just long enough to say I'm not new/new. But I'm not an old timer either, and everyone here is friendly and nice.
