Question about the Angel episode Reunion

Angel locks Darla and Drusilla in the wine cellar with a bunch of W&H lawyers who are then slaughter the lawyers but leave Lindsay and Lilah alive. I understand why Lindsay survives, but why do they spare Lilah? Did I miss something in the dialogue?

Any help would be appreciated.

In the next episode, Linsey asks Darla why he was spared. She tells him that they might need W,R&H's recources and since they killed Holland Manners, Linsey might be next in line for the big promotion *then she turns to Lilah and says 'or you'*

Yeah, that's pretty much how I remember it, too. Darla enjoyed the Lindsey/Lilah competition just as much as the W&H higher ups did, so she wanted to leave them both alive to see how the contest would turn out--and then work with the winner.
