What if Firefly had never been cancelled?

I was thinking not long ago how much fun I'm having in that shiny alternate reality where I can anticipate and dl both Lost and fourth season Firefly episodes.

Yeah, I believe I would still be watching. I manage to follow a lot of less entertaining shows quite faithfully.

But who knows with three years of heists gone bad maybe Firefly would have gotten boring and repetitive and just started to suck. Yet even then I'd probably find something in it to keep me watching.

Would I be as big a fan if Firefly was still on? I don't know. I guess there is a good chance I wouldn't be as rabid. There isn't that much need for rabid if you can relax and just watch the show.

And the way I see it, the things that tie Browncoats together, are the collectively shared love, loss, laughter and Serenity. It wouldn't be the same without the loss.

Who knows, we might be on this board complaining about how the show went downhill after 'Objects in Space'.

[The crew surprises Simon with a birthday cake.]
Simon: How did… how did you know? River, did you…?
River: "Day" is a vestigial mode of time measurement, based on solar cycles. It's not applicable. [pauses] I didn't get you anything.
