About 14 hours ago, Serenity had edged up to #14, but just checked and got a very pleasant surprise: it's at #4!

Considering that #1 and #3 are the same title ("March of the Penguins"), I personally consider Serenity at #3. This bodes well!

This is sooo shiny! I mean, look what other HUGE titles it is edging out, and it's only on pre-order! And the Firefly DVD set is #14!!! I'm so proud of everyone. *tears* I bet Fox is kicking themselves now!
Hears to hoping the DVD sale soar even more when it's finally released. 9 days! I know I'll be first in line as soon as my store opens. Guaranteed. (who cares about our sub-zero weather?)

Checked just before bed last night, and it had slipped to #5, edged out by Family Guy...
and Jayne's voice popped into my head, demanding to know:
"What'd you all order a family guy for?" 
Just checked again, and Serenity's back to #4, with Firefly at #14!

Even # 5 is very good for our BDM. It keeps it in the top 10 and keeps it visible to people to generate interest & sales.

Andre83, yes, exactly! Plus it's beating out some kickass stuff.
BrownCoat1, yes, you nailed it! Anywhere in the top 10 is magical. I get that there's lots more mass market stuff out there, so I'm pleasantly surprised (if not downright walking on air) that our beloved movie is doing so well.
That really speaks to the quality and fan devotion.
Now the big question: does Amazon still spam? I haven't bought anything from them in about four years, but am mighty tempted to order one copy, just to help out the numbers. I'm planning to buy my "main" copy at BestBuy in about 8 days, 30 minutes.
