I did armour for my college dissertation, I have so many bizarre pictures on my computer now it's unreal, and yet I can't bring myself to get rid of them
you never know when the random-topic-stream-generator will make them useful again.

Meeting him was like meeting a celebrity. I was very excited. I think he even signed my VC. And I also met ScrewtheAlliance that night. (The guy that wrote Kaylee's Lament and the Treasure of Lei Fong Wu. Fantastic stuff.) I was a bit star struck.
I did try to go around and meet as many people as I could, but I was a bit busy, as I was staff and was running interference for Ash (XandlerLHarris, or shiny Shindig goddess who arranged the whole weekend.)
That was a great night, though, wasn't it? I hope we'll do another one when we get our sequel!

If armour was your disertation topic then we deffinitely have a place for you in the SCA! We have people who want all those images because we are constantly building armour. Though we usually we spell it with out the u to save on weight.

o gods, if only leaving out the 'u' would save on the weight. I was playing with a suit and a broadsword once, now with out the gloves and gauntlets and all of the arm bits, waving the sword around like a pro, swish swoosh, fear me evil do-ers... etc.
with the gloves, gauntlets, vambraces blah blah blah,
well lets just say I was more dangerous, but not in a good way.
Damn are they hard to work in, I dropped the sword twice, just glad I was standing on lino (muffled the clanging), and almost took someone out when the snuck up behind me. My toes are probably only here today cause I was wearing steel toe cap doc martens.
ah well... college was such fun.

Haken is the person who started fff.net. This is HIS website. This is his baby. We are all here because of Haken! (He also has the most credits of any other browncoat in the 'verse on the UB. He's a a million-credit-aire.) Haken is like the ULTIMATE Browncoat. And he IS my favourite Haken!

No, don't worry, the talk of bashing people in the head is a random aside about tilting in tournaments of the medieval kind -and aparently the mordern version done on a motorbike instead of a horse, jeeze, i miss all the fun.
you only have to keep up if you want to.
I cant see these photo's and gorramit I want to! (stamping feet is so much fun)
I've tried removing the bit at the end like you said, is there any other thing i'm missing? It's still reading it as an email address

These days we use lighter guage steel and aluminimum. I haven't seen a lot of full plate suits. Mostly theres a lot of chain and leather with a bit of plate as a add on here and there. Battles aren't just for the weaker sex, we let the women fight too, so if you ever had a hankering, well we're here. Every 6 months we have a crown tournement to see who will be king. One kingdom all ready has had a Queen that won the crown by her own hand. Oh god I'm rambling again, shutting up now.

The motorcycles that was just a movie. We could never get insurance for that.
