Just saw my first Serenity DVD TV ad. Better than the movie ad but not by much. Gee why do they make this so hard?

Serenity is now 6th OVERALL on Amazon.com (2nd in sci-fi and fantasy) and it's still not released for another 9 days! (also Firefly is still going strong at number 16 overall).

yea you can say what you want, but the general public is stupid!!

there will be a saw 2 because saw 1 was different. (blair witch, remember) but after you sit back and look at it, the movie was just sick. most people i know said a waste of time and why. movies like serenity have a story. the big problem i feel was the lack of marketing the movie. no body (including me) had no idea what the movie was about. but a good friend begged me to go see it, and i am glad he did. i liked it better than any of the new star wars put together.

I feel it will take a cult status, and the more we "force" our star wars and star trek buddies to sit and watch firefly/serenity, i feel it will grow once they see it. it will get the word of mouth marketing for the characters/ship and most important the story! which alot of other scifi is missing. they seem to beat a dead horse and make movies that are nothing but event driven and style over substance. this will grow in the comic shops/comic cons/internet/ and word of mouth. this baby didnt have a very good birth(firefly) and the teen year(serenity)was so-so. so that right there is proof that it is growing.

hell look at the tx chainsaw movies. the only good one was the first one. but how many dumb sequal movies have they made?????(remake was ok, but it was a remake!)

I talk up firefly/serenity everywhere i go, and i have to explain it to almost everybody i know. they just havnt heard of it and once they see firefly, they want more. i tell the to go buy the dvd/movie. they are hooked. that will give us more firefly/serenity!

hehe sometimes i dont let them watch all of shows. i tell them to go buy the dvd. hahaha that really gets them.

next time you are at a party with a fellow browncoat, wait until your new buddy who hasnt see all firefly or serentiy, the two of you start talking it up and then hush when the newbie shows up. he will ask, but tell him to buy the dvds, and you cant tell him cause it will spoil it. hahahahha they kinda get mad, but they buy them, trust me it works.

dont loose faith, it is just supply and demand. if we make a demand, the supply will follow
